Time for an upgrade?

Ok folks I am trying to make a decision and who better to ask than the gurus who are as nuts as I am. I have a $50 new every 2 available from Verizon right now and they are selling the Rezound for $50. Should I upgrade now or hold out until September (when the rest of the account can upgrade too)? The Rezound would be free and the dev community has certainly picked up for them but I am hesitant due to possible battery life issues and the fact that nothing really big has been announced for Verizon yet. I am currently using a DroidX with gummy .95 (ICS 4.0.4) so I can hold out but anything out there is a pretty decent step up in terms of hzrdware.

Thank you in advance

I really liked the Rezound when I reviewed it, but I wouldn’t buy it at this point. It really straddles the line between the last gen and current gen devices specs wise. Sometime between now and September we will almost unquestionably see Verizon launch either an HTC One device or the SGS3.

    Thanks for the input guys.

Anyone else with opinions? I really am looking for input

From what you said, I think I would hold out.

ive just got the One X, 4 days old old now, and OMG it is so far ahead of the game its unbelievable. i waited 3 months past my upgrade just for this device and it hasn’t let me down.

im in the UK and had a Sensation XE, for the last few weeks, i think that is very similar to the Rezound, and if you got one now you will be so gutted when the One X drops for you.

i know the argument of if your always waiting for the next best thing, ud never buy/upgrade, but X is just in its own league ATM.

If I were you I’d wait. But if you can’t wait I would get the razr maxx. Not only is it LTE but the battery life is one of the best. Plus the verizon lte just keeps getting better. But if you can wait there may be some new lte phones that will have the same battery life as the max which I hope more manufacturers start copying.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I am going to hold off on the rezound. The biggest thing it had going for it was being free. In a world of $300 phones that caught my eye

Hold off, assuming the Samsung Galaxy SIII is announced within the next 4-6 weeks and sold by the summer, you won’t be let down. Unless they make an announcement for every carrier except Verizon and decide to have another Galaxy several months down the road…

But I’d wait like the others have said, there is always something nice just around the corner.
