What Roms do you suggest for AT&T Galaxy S2?

I recently rooted my i777 and have been playing around with different roms. Tried CM9 for a while but have since moved onto AOPK Jellybean Rom. It’s worked well as my daily driver for several weeks now. But what roms have you all been using and what do you suggest?

Start with CM and then see if other roms have features you like. Word of advice when flashing: Charge you batter at least over 75% in case anything goes wrong!

You might wanna try Paranoid Android, they have some cool features like Per-app-definable color for the Status Bar and per-app-definable Screen Layouts, eg tablet layout for Settings etc.

If you want to try a different android experience you can take a look at MIUI rom, which has its unique and beautiful design which borrows from iOS

Love Paranoid Android. Its still a little buggy for my phone personally, but if its stable for S2 then I have to agree that its one of the best.

This, definitely this. Paranoid Android has been my favorite rom for the Note and several of my friends love it on their GS2′s.

I have always had good luck with CyanogenMod. They had my old Epic 4g running android 4.0.

I know they have good support for the SII.

You really cant beat CM, it may be lacking in customization like AOKP, LiquidSmooth etc. But man is it stable, many devices supported etc. I usually always end up going back to it after trying out other ROMS

My phone (HTC Snapdragon S4 ONE XL) also has great support for it
CM dev have got, Open Source WIFI, and camera libs. Qualcomm is great at keeping there closed source propriety drivers for android up to date. he CM devs/maintainers managed to make a One XL, One S, Evo lte united kernel so its much easier to maintain.

They have also got HW Vsync (kernel level part of JB project butter) almost fully working, and HTC will be releasing 3.4.10 kernel source with there JB update, so this phone will be almost Nexus AOSP/CM stability when all is done, makes my lust for the nexus 4 bearable

CM10, AOKP and PA features all packed into one rom, plus JellyBam extras.

I’m thinking about trying jellybam. I like the sound of it.

Hellybean – pretty sure its supports your phone (I think it does most of the Galaxy range)

Its based on CM10 but has a few extra tweaks, I love it and couldn’t recommend it enough if you want a custom rom

    JellyBam or Paranoid Android =)

Both are great roms, but still a work in progress.

I would say CM10 if you are a AOSP fan.

  • TheVoodoo

    I agree. CM10, no doubt!

I don’t mean any offense to other ROMs but CM10 will make a convert of almost anyone who tries it.

You can get it for the AT&T SGS2 at:

I have downloaded and installed jelly bam finally. Its the best ROM I have used yet. I highly recommend it
