Where are the Android ‘retina’ display tablets?

I thought I heard a Levono and Asus had a display of 1920×1200 in a 10in tablet, which is good, I have that on a 15.3 in laptop, but could be better. Why are manufactures letting Apple win in that regard? I suppose Apple knows it will sell a crap-ton of tablets, so they can negotiate lower costs. I all the ‘retina’ stuff drives up laptop and tablet lcd resolutions, the whole HDTV craze set pc displays back a good 10 years.

Does anyone care that tablets and laptops are shipped with such awful resolutions?

Samsung is going to announce something real soon. Their Exynos 5 chip supports displays up to WXQGA 2560×1600 resolution. You can see a brief clip of their new display in the Exynos promo video that was released yesterday.
