I need a Nexus 7 because my wife bought me a iPad mini for my birthday. She is an apple person and I'm an android guy, but she thought she could convert me and I hate the thing so much but don't have the balls to tell her because she was so proud she was able to buy that for me. Now if I get one for free and simply find that I like it more, it would let me off the hook.
As a kid I had 2 friends that would come over and play, and each time one of us died we would have to pass the controller to the next person. Sucked sitting there for so long sometimes so we would try to distract the one playing sometimes.
Having started with the G1 and now having a Vibrant, I am simply in awe of the progress. But it really is a BIG THANKS to all the developers of the great apps in the market. Without them, Android wouldn't be near what it is. I still give a ton a credit to Google because that chance wouldn't have even been there if they did things differently.
Thank goodness I'm not Verizon anymore, that would kill me at work. Although, I do give Verizon the "king of coverage" title. I very rarely had dead spots with them. I just didn't like their phones at the time of my switch which was for the "og" G1. Oh well, still would love to get my hand the Galaxy Nexus!
I actually don't mind Touchwiz, although not my preferred UI. I have a Vibrant and use custom roms anyway, but my wife who also has a Vibrant keeps hers stock. So even this few updates would be huge for improving her experience. Even though I would LOVE to see the real ICS experience on our phones, I still would appreciate the other option.
That's funny. I don't own stock in apple, not that I want to support their habits, but all that they are doing really makes me hate them and not even consider buying their products. They already have to control what you do with your own device to the point it is actually annoying like having to give them your credit card info to download free apps...that is ridiculous. My kids each got an iPod Touch for Christmas and now I need to go get some prepaid Visa's because I don't want them to rack up bills on my card.
Thanks Android and Me for this chance! I sure could use this stuff for my new career, I'm saying my prayers. ;)
