You actually can disable BlinkFeed in Sense 5.5, though I'm a big fan of blinkfeed.
Doesn't make me want it any more or less but that is pretty cool.
Yes they did give us 4.3, which they promised but it wasn't done that quickly. 30 days just seems like a very aggressive timeframe. I'm not saying anything bad about HTC, if any carrier promised that (aside from Nexus and GPE phones) I would be skeptical. I surely hope it's true, 30 days is just unheard of w/Android. 90 days is agressive but more feasible.
Hope they can hold to this, but not very optimistic. If I only have to wait 30 days for the update on my unlocked One, that would be AMAZING!
Not sure why everyone is saying it's gimmicky. I think the ability to lauch a different app solely based on what finger you use to login is great! Now using it as a trackpad.... that's a different story.
The N4 is a good phone and all, but how was is "so innovative"? I don't get that at all. I can't think of a single thing that was "innovative" on that phone.
This update is also for the Unlocked version not just Developer Edition. I've been missing these 4.3 features.
The GPE received this update a while back.
Wow, those specs at that price! Bringing it on over to the US. If the skin is terrible I'll just root it
I understand where you're coming from but how does Google Glass NOT look odd?! The biggest knock against it is how odd it looks.
This thing looks awesome with tons of potential. The only question would be how easily does the button press in and will it constantly go off in my pocket.
That battery life is definitley a concern. I would need to watch to last a minimum of 2 - 3 full days w/o needing to charge it. Also I really hope the watch doesn't look like that b/c that thing is FUGLY!
On today's episode of, 'As the Android World Turns'
Too bad my unlocked HTC One is stuck 4.1.2
But the issue is while they would have only really been competing against the S4 earlier this summer now their advertising will be against the Samsung and all their phones, the LG G2, the Droid line of phones, the Moto X and the new iphone that gets announce soon.
I agree and was really tempted by this but I just can't throw $600+ at a device that I don't even know if it will run well. Didn't they show off Ubuntu at CES last year on an N4 and it ran horribly? They can obviously fix that but not willing to gamble on it. Now if they came out with that phone and it works, flawlessly. I'm all in! Hopefully they can find other investors to make this happen.
I agree and especially agree that their main issue is lack of advertising and timing. This huge deal with Robert Downey Jr. should have come out before the One and used to promote the One. The One is an excellent phone that was severly under marketed.
I have the unlocked One, so I'm hoping that I can get the update at the same time as the Developer Edition. As far as I know they are virtually the same (minus the additional 32 GB)
How does Chromecast not make this list?
Agree, don't know if it was just me but I checked it out and hated it immediately. Just found it really annoying.
