I've been saying this about the Go Team for some time now... they have their new "store" that opens in an Asian character set, but it needs to be like Beautiful Widgets/Fancy Widgets. The only problem that I see is that it makes it hard to distribute paid themes.
That's a bummer... I was looking forward to checking the new search out.
Awesome... tough chances, but someone has to win, right? Time to upgrade.
Soooo... Who wants to buy a Captivate?
Jokes aside, it's great to see another quality Android phone on AT$T. Was hoping that I would see a T2-4G phone for them, but this might be my next phone if ATT 4G holds its own. (Man... I hate having to call current gen tech 4G.)
That looks like a fair evaluation...
The best thing that could have actually happened to SGS owners was the introduction of the Nexus S. It looks like Cyanogen is going to bring a stock Gingerbread experience to SGS owners, and they are already well into stabilizing the build for Captivates.
With the XDA team and CM team getting together on this one, I'm ok with AT$T being on the bottom of the list. ;)
That fee is coming from your bank. Same happens to me when I purchase internationally, but my bank's fee is only 50¢. That is the same fee that I was charged using an international atm from the same bank. Not sure why I included that last part.
When did you stop writing about hating Gameloft and start working for then?
Yea... Still heavily disappointed.
Still can't change profile picture.
Still can't be notified of all notifications.
Still can't like comments.
Still shows my old display name (2 months ago).
For all of those that want a good chat setup, I suggest BeeJive ($4.99) or Trillian (free, but .apk install only). Both are great multi-service chat clients, and have very good push services.
Shoulda refreshed before reply.
Requests are now under "friends" in the top-right. Rumor is that push is only for chat... If so, I will continue to be disappointed in the Android app...
According to comments on the market, there is a $10 fee for U-Verse mobile, but it is free for Win Phone users... I had a feeling that AT$T was going to push the Windows Phone hard when they lost iXclusitivity.
I just searched for 'uverse', and it is right there. It is possible that this user is a Dell Streak or Moto Backflip user... Quite likely that it is a 2.0+ app.
Being rooted 'shouldn't' cause a problem with the game. Having super-user access shouldn't change anything about the way that an app is executed.
My guess is that he bought a Windows Phone instead of a Captivate because of an AT&T sales 'specialist', and now he's just bitter.
I smell a Gameloft sewer rat...
I was going to suggest the same as someone else suggested. Home Run Battle 3D installs a game that downloads the 1st of the game and installs to SD. That has been a top game, and one of my favorites on Android.
If this device has s-amoled, a front facing cam and vanilla android, it would be a great upgrade to my Captivate. Won't be upgrading until those stars align or a device with comparable hardware from HTC or Moto is released.
This is the best advent calendar ever...
In my opinion, leave the analogs on the PSP.
I was really looking forward to this phone, but not even for PS specific games. This looks like the world's best NES/SNES/Genesis handheld, and I would love to waste my life away playing SMB on it. With the 1GHZ processor, it will still serve that purpose very well, but it definitely won't please the crowd hoping for an Unreal/Quake/Doom multiplayer game for the dual-core generation.
That would be "especially", not explicitly. Love swype... But sometimes mommy and daddy don't get along.
You tell people to get a Windows 7 phone instead of Android because of Samsung?
That gave away your credibility. iPhone users don't see upgrade time as an issue because they all get them at the same time. Cleary you never updated a 3g iphone that became uselessbecause of the update. A warning not to update would have been nice.
As much as Samsung has pained me with this, is rather wait on an update than be forced into one that essentially bricks my phone.
