It is known among my friends that I have been following this tablet since its idea sake as the Asus 730T. One of my friends refereed on of his friends to me who is looking to get tablet for his wife and wanted to know whether to get the iPad or iPad 2 or if there were any other options...well I set him straight on that one and he also liked the price much better and he asked about some app alternatives to what he knows the iPad has. He is now considering the neXus 7 instead. YES, this tablet DOES compete for customers with the iPad.

Man the weeks are dragging, I've been waiting on this tablet since CES 2012. Oh, please have the 370T specs we've been waiting for. Plus a front camera.

As long as it has the original CES 370T spec i will be happy. Other than I would like the rear camera swapped out for a front facing one.
360 days ago in reply to ASUS MeMO 370T passes through FCC, is it the Nexus 7?
If the Nexus 7 version is striped down of features (I.E. lesser cameras, memory) then I would not mind both if the original 370T has the original specs as announced at 2012 CES. We will all soon find out I guess.

I have been watching this device from the CES anouncement as I am waiting to upgrade from my Palm T E2. My Palm has been a wonderful device in all regards, I am amazed it still works. I hope this new Asus tablet will fill its shoes.

I only know of the 10" Toshiba Thrive, the 7" Thrive is not.

As one of those who chose not to buy a nook and wait for a 7' tablet with full features I will enjoy the 7" form for reading as you do, as well as any other variety of Apps I choose from Google play. I do not have a 10" budget to play with and 7" is great for me to be somewhat more portable as well.

I am afraid that the only Android game I have ever played is Angry Birds and that was just to check it out because its so popular. I am just not a game player.

In fact we do not know. The Asus 370T DID have a micro SD slot, IF they do base the nexus the CES 370T tablet, then we could see the micro-SD card slot. A user replaceable battery would be nice but I don't know of a 7" tablet yet that does. I think it will come with ICS and be upgrade-able to Jelly Bean later. Of course it will also be a WiFi only device to keep the price down. One thing I hope they do change from the 370T is to swap the Rear only camera for a Front camera, although both would be welcome.

Just waiting to see how close it will be to the original CES 2012 370T specs. I am hoping for the new "Kia" Quad Core platform, mSD card is a must, Front cam only(although original 360T spec called for a Rear cam only), a Nice screen and Battery life.

Since were talking tech. I also anxiously await more information on Nvidia's new "Kia" Tegra 3 platform technology.

Oh yes, I have been waiting to see what 730T would finally end up being, hopefully it is close to the original specs as it was announced at CES. Perhaps this new Kai platform will allow it to be sold for $199 price point so many have been wanting to achieve. I just hope the specs are not scrimped on to much to achieve a lower price point. Personally I am wanting a higher end 7" device with some good specs, the 730T tablet as announced at CES was just such a device to me, and well worth the $249 they were asking. But hey I'm not stupid, give me those same specs for $49 less I would be happy.

As for the reason I would like this tablet! I am still using a Palm Tungsten E2 PDA. Does this count as needing a newer device?

Sounds great bong, I wouldn't mind it. But can the price be kept down to around $249 using an S4? If so great. I am just looking for a no compromise 7" tablet with an excellent processor and price. Both the 4+1(5)Core Tegra 2 and the S4 dual core are very good. The Asus 730T with the 4+1(5)Core Tegra 2 is an example of a low compromise tablet at a great price($249) that I have been looking forward to. Hey if they stick an S4 in it for that price I would be happy to buy it.
