5 million for HTC One vs 10 million for S4.
This seems to prove that consumers care more about the phone features than the outer-shell material (ie plastic in S4 vs aluminum in HTC One)

I agree that Samsung could use better materials for their phones' backside.
As for features, Samsung's phones are the top of the lines.

Good unboxing video. Oppo makes good DVD players which can play Dvix.
Taylor recorded this unboxing video on a Galaxy S4? Wow, I like the S4 even more. The video quality & the auto-focusing capabilities of the S4 are great.

The only good thing out of the specs is the microSD expansion.
I take the Nexus 7 over this thing anyday.

I wonder what's the usage the 5 metal-dots on the side? Connectors to a dock?
If so, wouldn't the dock block the volume rockers?

It shouldn't be a surprise as Samsung has been introducing devices in various sizes to see which sells best. Other companies may stay away from this method as it is high cost.
But since Samsung produces its own display, processor and memories for these devices, it has many advantages over the competitors.
I would think this is a good business plan for Samsung.

I like the full metal body of the HTC One.
I don't want to use a case to cover such a beautiful phone.
How rugged is it? Is the back easily scratched?

Didn't HTC come up with the HTC ChaCha and the HTC Salsa in 2011 with a Facebook button on the bottom? I don't think they were successful then.
