So after using this for a few days, the gimmick has worn off and it has become more of a nuisance than a convenience. It would be much better if I could just swipe down the notification shade and reply right inside of it. Same amount of taps, but much cleaner interface and nothing gets covered up.

Well, the set is standard across all platforms and has been for many many years so as long as it conforms to that it's good

How easy is it to get the One to stock Android (or as close as possible)? I love the experience of stock Android on my Nexus 4, but I do enjoy the sleek look and specs of the One.

Depends on your use.. I never needed all the features evernote offered, and making notes was too slow and clunky for me. Keep is way simpler and faster.

Even if I had $1000 to spend on any phone I want, I'd still get the Nexus 4 because the stock Android experience is unmatched. Also it's much better looking than any other phone out there.

Well there's no other Nexus phones coming out for a year.. so you're still good. Unless you want to buy a non-nexus phone.. which is a terrible idea imo
