Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is a “fun size” Android phone (Video)

Today Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of the Xperia X10. These new compact Android phones feature Android 1.6, a 2.5 inch touchscreen (QVGA), 5.0-megapixel camera and the budget 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 (no dedicated GPU).

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colors pearl white, black, pink, lime, red and silver. The X10 mini pro adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and will be available in black and red.

We are starting to wonder if the original Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will ever see the light of day in the United States, but maybe these lower priced handsets have a better chance of being picked up by a carrier.

i hate that there are no dedicated keys for special symbols like | # > < etc :( … i'd expect them there if they call it 'pro' version
