Verizon LG Ally site goes live with limited specs

Someone finally got the note. The official mini site for the LG Ally is now live, but not many details were revealed. Since LG is not heavily pushing the specs, this leads us to believe earlier speculation that the LG Ally is a mid-range Android phone.

What did we learn about the Ally? It will feature Android 2.1, have a 3.2 inch touchscreen, and include a 3.2 megapixel camera. Even though the specs are average, we are curious about the renders which clearly show the new 3D launcher. The new launcher was said to require a faster processor, so we will have to wait and see what the Ally has under the hood.

No carrier has been announced, but we already spotted the Ally with the Verizon logo on LG’s site.

Verizon is landing a lot of Andorid phones.

Damn, the specs keep going down! It was at first a 3.5 inch screen running on Snapdragon, now it’s 3.2 with (most likely) a second-rate processor. Guess we’ll just have to wait for Moto Droid’s sequel for a high-end slider.

Seriously, I noticed that too. And the 3.2MP camera was reported as a 5MP by the LG UK blog. What the heck is going on?
