White HTC EVO 4G heading to Best Buy, pre-orders kickoff today

While most hardcore Android fans that were waiting for the HTC EVO have most likely already picked one up, Best Buy is hoping to grab a little attention by offering an exclusive white version of Sprint’s first 4G equipped phone.  Color options aren’t anything new for HTC, but this is the first time any of us have heard of a white variant for the HTC EVO 4G.

The white EVO will be available exclusively from Best Buy on July 11th and will hit Sprint retail location on August 8th.  There’s no indication of a price difference between the black and white HTC EVO, so you should be able to purchase the handset for $199.99 with a new two year contract.  We’re not sure if this will be a limited edition like the myTouch Fender, but if you want to make sure you can secure a white HTC EVO, Best Buy is kicking off pre-orders at all their retail locations today with a $50 deposit.

Note: If you purchased the Sprint HTC EVO 4G at launch, keep in mind that Sprint has a 30-day return policy on all their phones.

Ummm…. is it all white? It looks like it’s just the back side what’s white and the front is goign to be black. If that’s the case, I’ll stick with my EVO. In the image you can see that the volume rocker is still black.

any options is a good thing.

when the G1 came out my fiance and i were able to get two different colors and it took out the worry about which phone you were picking up.

well, now i have an N1 and she’ll get whatever next great thing comes to tmob, so no big deal but still. i know she prefers her white G1, macbook, DS, ipod, etc

she might as well get a N1 too, Tmo lacks great phones. Always has, always will (probably).

I would love one that is the same color they have underneath the cover….also a cherry red one would be sweet.

white is nice and all, but I think that Sprint should have asked for a yellow version with black highlights to tie in with the companies color scheme.

Looks good. But Droid 2 is looking reallly nice now that they took all that gold off

And it’s gonna have a better processor (the TI OMAP one) probably.

This is also going to be a hot commodity, hopefully HTC has their number game on point this time. I remember seeing the white Evo but at that time it was known as the supersonic. It was only a matter of time till the let the HTC Evo black hit the streets first and if it sold quickly they would have the white one as a backup per say. One thing is for sure the white does look elegant and wifey will be rocking it.

    Seen it back in 2-6-10
