Android and Me shirts are here: The And Me Artist Series [Update]

Today we’re thrilled to finally be announcing our And Me Artist Series limited tee collection. Each week, for the next four weeks, we’ll be featuring a new tee designed by an awesome artist specifically for this project.

Read on for more details or visit if you just can’t wait.

The And Me Artist Series consists of four tees, each of which will be released on a Monday. Each tee will only be available for one week. When a new tee goes online, the old tee expires and is sent to production. Each tee will only be produced in the numbers and sizes ordered during the one week run, never to be seen again.

Let me repeat that: each tee is available for one week only.

All designs are screen printed on American Apparel tees for the highest quality final product. We’ve aimed for designs we think are slightly understated and hope you’ll enjoy a break from the giant, green, stock Android that seems to be splashed on every tee we run across.

Our first featured tee is titled Android Schema and was created by Angie Strickland. The design features a circuit diagram with glow-in-the-dark highlights of the major milestones in Android build history. It’s available now and only until November 15, so get it before the second tee arrives!

About the artist

Angie Strickland is the permanent designer of all things Android and Me. Who else would we get to start this thing off? You see her work every day all over the site, if you’ve been to one of our events you’ve likely already got some of her gear- she is an illustrator extraordinaire and she dropped some of the most maddeningly tight line-work ever for this week’s tee.

You can follow her on Twitter or keep watching Android and Me for more of her work.

In Summary

If you’d like to purchase a tee (this time around we’ve opened orders to our international fans) or just want some more information about the And Me Artist Series, just visit:

I prefer to win things

If you’re feeling lucky, you’ll be excited to hear that each week we’ll be selecting a random tweeter to receive a free tee. To enter, all you’ve got to do is tweet a message/joke/pun with two pieces of information, our Twitter handle @androidandme and a link to the shirt page

Each Friday we’ll announce the winner, hopefully leaving our not-so-first-place entrants one last chance to officially purchase the tee before it expires into the And Me vault forever.

Good luck and happy tweeting!

UPDATE: Day 1 recap, more free stuff

Hey guys, we’re stoked so many of you turned up on day one and ordered a tee to show your support! To show our appreciation we’re going to do a little giveaway with a pair of Android mini collectibles. Tonight at midnight (CST), we’ll draw two random winners from everyone that ordered a shirt today. You don’t need to enter again or jump through a hoop, if you bought a tee today you’re automatically entered into the drawing.

If you’re still thinking about buying a t-shirt, you’ve got a couple hours left to get in on the giveaway action (and either way, you’ll get a sweet tee out of the deal).

Up for grabs: Copperbot and the limited edition APK 2008

Along with the minifigs we’ll toss each winner a couple of Android and Me vinyl decals and our sincere thanks for helping make our first day a calming success (seriously, I’d been sweating for weeks that we’d open the store and people would be like Whaaaaaat?). So thanks. Really. For real.

Love the shirt and just ordered one. I will be sure to order one each week. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for offering these in sizes besides medium and xtra-medium. As a man-sized man, it disappoints me when geek apparel is only offered in child sizes. Another reason to like A&M.

We had more than a couple requests for extended sizes and as a chubby dude myself I was happy to track down the extra shirts.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who wasn’t Frodo in skinny jeans.

I just hate it when sites like A&M make contests open to only Twitter and exclude Facebook. Not everyone likes/uses Twitter.

Are the Tee’s running small, large or true to size

@May : it depends what marketing campaign each wants to promote and probably A&M were after building a followers group on Twitter atm! For facebook maybe you want to try T-Doodles business page, they will be announcing soon a facebook-only competition where some Android cushions will be won!
