High-res pics of Motorola’s Tegra powered Honeycomb tablet

The last 48 hours have produced an overflow of Android news, so we are just starting to dig through everything that got published and see if we can reveal any new details. We all watched the video of Andy Rubin playing with his Motorola Honeycomb tablet, but what about some high-res pics of the device?┬áThankfully photographer Asa Mathat was at the D: Dive Into Mobile conference and got some nice closeups of the Motorola “Everest”. The biggest pictures we could find are after the jump.

The volume rocker n the silver/steel border makes it look a bit like ip4, I can’t see a camera on the back.

You mean you don’t see the circular hole on the back of the device?

Android’s response to You’re holding it wrong? The shocker!

    Nice grip, Andy.

Andy needs to trim those fingernails. Those are some serious talons (for a dude).

    Looks absolutely great.

Is it just me or does Gingerbread feel like Android’s WinMo 6.5 and Honeycomb feels like WP7? As in, most of the talent within the team probably focused on 3.0 while they left a few to take on 2.3. 2.3 just doesn’t feel or look all that great IMO but 3.0? Man, it looks amazing so far and we’ve only seen a little.

It looks like there are NO fixed buttons on front (Back, Menu, Home, Search). All of the “buttons” are just part of a black strip on the bottom of the GUI. Interesting…

    • Taylor Wimberly

Yeah they did no buttons on purpose so you could rotate the display 360 degrees and still operate it.

        “one button is too much”

        You mean… like the iPad?

iPad killer? rather an iPad running android OS. Of which I am completely fine with although for tablets Windows 7 makes much more sense to have than android.

    • http://Website @sr_edy

He did say in one of the vids that there is no actual back button or home key..

I Think he said something about the buttons just being at the bottom of the screen and it works like a tab? i dunno

aw hell. the thickness/form factor looks just like an ipad. i was all sorts of excited about the notion ink but its like over an inch thick. if this comes out around the same time as the notion ink, well i’m going to be thinking twice about getting and adam. i like the screen but this just looks soo much thinner and awesome.

in his talk he held a nexus S and this tablet, right? im surprised no one tried to use the nexus S size, in relation to his hand to approximate the screen size of this (to be more clear if its a 10″ or 7″ tablet).

    • http://Website sB77

      It’s between 8 or 9 in.

      • http://Website ve

        It’s actually a 10.1 inch screen
