At last! HTC EVO 3D and EVO View 4G get official price and release date, pre-orders galore

Price and Availability

The HTC EVO 4G was among the most popular Android devices of all time. During CTIA it was announced that Sprint would bring the next EVO flagship device of the year, the HTC EVO 3D. Not only was this stunning device going to come with outstanding specs, but it was also not coming alone. There was another addition to the EVO family, the HTC EVO View 4G (HTC Flyer with Sprint data connectivity), a tablet “like no other.” It feels like a long time since CTIA (though it has only been a few months), and now we know that the wait is almost over. Sprint has officially announced the price and release date for the HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO View 4G!

These devices will be available on June 24th, but they can be pre-ordered with the purchase of a $50 Sprint gift card, which can be used towards your purchase on release date (or you can use to purchase something else if you so choose to). The EVO 3D will go for $199.99, and the EVO View 4G will cost $399.99 (both with a two-year contract), which is actually not too bad. Competing high-end devices are going for $250-300 nowadays, so the fact that Sprint is keeping its price at $199.99 will really make the choice easier for many.

Of course, owning an Android device (or any smartphone OS, for that matter) has its requirements when it comes to your monthly plan subscription. As many of you may already know, the EVO 3D will be required to have one of Sprint’s Everything Data plans, along with a $10 Premium Data fee for smartphones. For the EVO View tablet, monthly data plans will start at $34.99 for 3GB of 3G data, but it also gives you unlimited 4G data (if you happen to be within coverage). Data plans for the EVO view also include unlimited text, picture, and video messaging. If that isn’t good enough, the HTC Scribe stylus is included at no charge for a “limited time,” for customers who put their signature on that contract (Otherwise sold separately for $80).

The announcement of the price and availability for two of the hottest devices this year is no small thing though, and everyone wants a piece of the cake. We have just found out that Sprint will not be the only one offering these devices. Target Mobile and Radio Shack are also announcing some nice offers along with the availability of the HTC EVO 3D for pre-order.

Pre-Orders and more

Radio Shack:

Radio Shack actually started EVO 3D pre-orders last month, but there was no official availability announcement yet, so Radio Shack had to keep thing low. This retailer could not advertise such pre-order, and the representatives were not allowed to offer it to you, one had to know about it, and/or ask fro it.

Now that The Shack can go all out without fear of legal problems, it is not a=only announcing the pre-order but bringing some good competition to Sprint. If you are an owner of the EVO 3D predecessor, you can trade in your HTC EVO 4G for a $100 credit for the purchase of the HTC EVO 3D. This offer is not only for EVO users though, as Radio Shack is also accepting other “eligible smartphones” for a $75 store credit.

Things are looking good for those that are not feeling too fancy this month though, or those who just happen to love physical keyboards. This retailer is also offering the HTC EVO Shift 4G for FREE with a two-year contract. Not bad, not bad at all.

Radio Shack also has a cool device simulator, just in case you want to play around and see how the EVO 3D will feel.

Target Mobile:

Target Mobile is also officially starting pre-orders for the EVO 3D today, as well as offering credit with an EVO 4G trade in. Target is taking things a little further, though, offering $150 of credit towards your EVO 3D purchase. This would mean that you would only end up paying $50 for the device (if purchased with a contract, at $199.99).

Also, just to make things a bit special for Target customers, if you purchase the device with a Target REDcard, a 5% discount will be applied.

Well it’s now show time the whole world will see exactly how good this device will be when it hits the market. Rather you are a fan of 3d or not this will be the best android device on the market. The technology alone will make it the best straight out the box but with the Asynchronous dualcore 1.2 Ghz processor people will really get a chance to see how great this device will be from a bettery life standpoint. Both cores of the device will never have to be used at the same time so that alone will preserve extreme battery life not to mention htc already designed built in battery management that takes this device to a new level never seen in a dualcore phone before. It’s already been said by BGR, as well as ENGADGET and PC MAG that the close cousin of the Evo 3d the Sensation on Tmobile has better battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S2 so it stands to reason that the Evo 3d will be just as good as the Sensation if not better. It’s AMAZING how people come on this site and feel like THEY NEED TO BE ME OR POST THINGS IN MY NAME THAT I DIDN’T POST it shows they have NO LIFE…Bottomline here ladies and gentleman if you aren’t packing a dualcore Evo 3d on sprint the network with the best android device that are up to date then you AREN’T PACKING ANYTHING….Sprint has raised the bar when it comes to innovation last year was the Single core Evo 4g, This year is the Dualcore Evo 3d, and Next year will be the Quadcore Evo it keeps going on and on. HTC AND SPRINT CLEARLY RULES…..
