Rumor: Unknown QWERTY slider from Samsung is making its way to AT&T

Typically there are two times a year when devices start to leak so fast it’s hard to keep up with them. At the very beginning of the year before all the conventions and now, late summer. As the pre-production process for the holiday season moves forward, upcoming phones make their way through more and more people. This seems to be the case with an unknown slider from Samsung.

There’s not much information to throw behind the render you see above, but BGR is claiming the full-QWERTY beast will land on Ma Bell in the near future. Will it come with 4(faux)G? A dual-core processor? Super AMOLED Plus display? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Even though virtually nothing is known about the device, there’s bound to be at least a couple readers already pumped to know another full physical keyboard device exists. (They aren’t easy to come by, you know). Are you one of them?

Sprint has a tendency to release QWERTY phones, so I’d be willing to bet something great will land by the holiday season.

That keyboard looks nice as does the entire phone.

Samsung is putting out way to many phones which means a handful of owners will be ignored when it comes to software updates. INFUSE, SGS2, SGS2 3D, SGS2 windows MOBILE 7. They already have slow updates now but can u imagine!

Is it just me? Change the outer bezel ring from black to silver… add a couple of buttons and this thing looks just like an iPhoney4 with a keyboard, does it not? More fuel on the fire I guess. And if going to ATT, this might snag a few of those Apple boys who drool over a keyboard (phone looks like theirs, samoled plus display and a keyboard)… I could see some of them jumping ship.

There are only but so many ways you can make a candy bar shaped slab look different, when you factor in the similar sizes and lengths it gets even harder. Now the mere fact that you have to explain what to add for it to look like an iphone shows its difference, your biggest point being remove the keyboard….

On another note I’m all for a powerful qwerty phone, though I’m not one for the 4 row set up I have to say that phones keyboard is appealing and from the picture looks to be a solid build.

Alas I sigh because it seems to be no 5 row qwerty in the tubes for any major manufacture.
