White Samsung Galaxy S II headed to Europe August 15th

The white version of the extremely popular Samsung Galaxy S II will go on sale in European stores on August 15th.  A few online retailers have the phone listed for £499.99 (roughly $816), including 20% VAT.  The white Samsung Galaxy S II features the same dual-core 1.2 GHz Samsung Orion processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GB of RAM and 8 megapixel camera as the original.

The Samsung Galaxy S II has been one of the best selling phones in Europe this summer (even beating out the iPhone 4 in a few markets).  We’re not sure having a new color option will help boost sales, but we know it certainly can’t hurt.  We’re still waiting for Samsung to release the Galaxy S II here in the US market. But with all the recent activity, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.

So, if you had the choice between a white or black Samsung Galaxy S , which color would you choose?

    White please! Looks awesome

If the phone is white all over (as opposed to just the front) then it will be a nice phone with a difference.

Should be white all over. The Galaxy S from last year was released with a white back.

Lucky chaps get all the fun! White looks good, but I’m going the way of the dark side…black all the way

There need to be more white phones. And please launch them in the same time not months later. Because they could become outdated by then and I wouldn’t want to buy an outdated phone just because it’s white.

There is clearly no front facing camera on this…y’all need some new glasses over there?

After having a white g1, all white phones look like kids toys to me. This one especially.

    Of course…….Europe gets it first

    • http://htcsource.com Nick Gray

So what’s new? The only time the U.S. gets anything first is when it’s a Motorola product or something from HTC that’s launching exclusively on one U.S. carrier. The issue isn’t that these manufacturers don’t want to launch their products first in the U.S. market – it’s that the carriers have too many software and hardware tweaks which delay the process.

What a BS. The only thing we got first was the SII. Everything else is either US first or US only. (still no Gtab)

I am so afraid I am going to get derailed by the Galaxy S 2.. Trying so HARD to hold out for the next Nexus !!

If you guys want to see how the back of the phone looks like, check out Phandroid. It’s got the front facing camera as well…

Wow, you mean Orion processor with MALI 400 GPU inside the Exynos SOC? Most powerful SOC out there.

  • monlosez

Damn it dick, you got an entire post for yourself here about the evo 3d, lets us enjoy our phones you don’t care about it.

PS:unless the white doesn’t get dirty easily, i would get it.

Hey there moron! No one said anything about any phone being “the best”. The exact wording is “The Samsung Galaxy S II has been one of the BEST SELLING phones in Europe this summer”.
This is a fact that is proven by data and cannot be disputed. Go F**K yourself for confusing such simple words a 2nd grader could read and understand them. Oh, and copy/pasting stuff can be done by 1st graders. Congratulations. You are now on par with 6-7 year olds. Want a cookie?
