Leaked screen shots give a glimpse of HTC Puccini UI tweaks

We’ve seen leaked images, an FCC filing and accessories. Now we’ve got our first look at a few screen shots from the upcoming HTC Puccini.  As expected, the HTC Puccini looks to be running Honeycomb with a few UI tweaks and a little Sense.  The main app drawer features the same Sense customization found on most of HTC’s new phones, dividing up applications into three separate categories (All, Frequent and Downloads).  HTC has also thrown in a customized version of its Touch Input keyboard, which includes a number pad when the tablet is in landscape mode.   Other customizations include HTC buttons and icons throughout the UI along with a white settings menu as opposed to the standard dark theme used by stock Honeycomb.

As many of you know, I’m a big fan of HTC Sense. But I think a few of the changes HTC is cramming in to Honeycomb are a bit over the top. What do you think of the UI tweaks HTC will introduce with the Puccini?

Well it looks better then Samsung’s wizz software skin. I like how they added that pen button to the system bar that seems convenient, otherwise I love stock Honeycomb UI and if I had a choice I don’t really care for HTC’s skin. My two cents.

The HTC keykoad should be a lot better than the stock Honeycomb offering, but I wish they would have left the settings UI alone and kept the darker theme.

It just makes it look more like a child’s toy. IMHO, Honeycomb has a very sleek, refined look. This just looks childish.

Kinda like it but I hope the app drawer fills the whole screen..
