AndroidHire launching soon, sign up now for early access

In the coming days, we’ll be launching AndroidHire, your new source for top Android jobs and freelance gigs. As we make the rounds at all these events, the two questions we’re repeatedly asked are Do you know anyone that is hiring? and Do you know anyone I can hire? We hope AndroidHire will be the answer, for folks on both sides of that equation.

Developers will be able to register on the site and create a resume, complete with experience, education, specialties, etc. You can even add your contact info and mark which type of work you’re looking for, hopefully increasing your chances at quality contact.

If you’ve got open positions, AndroidHire will be the premiere space to list your job. We’ll syndicate the listings here on Android and Me, on our Twitter accounts, and in our newsletter. We’ll put your listing in front of millions of eyes, literally.

If you’re game to participate, you can sign up now for early access at We’re looking for skilled developers and people with awesome jobs to offer. If that’s you, we’d love to talk. If you’re the casual type, you can follow us on Twitter @AndroidHire. You can also help by reblogging this or by passing this announcement to anyone in the industry you know that might currently be on the hunt.

With hundreds of different devices and an ever-exploding user base, Android work is hard enough. Finding a job should be easy.

Anything for graphic designers or Web designers? Seems kind of programmer specific but just thought I’d ask.

I agree, the idea is really good. And I do hope, it will be implemented appropriately, too. I picked out 7 most useful ideas for creating and launching an advantageous mobile app: How to create a successful mobile application?

Am I mistaken, or does that ‘ANDROID Hire’ photo include an Apple computer on the desk? Media FAIL!
