AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note available now for $299

After generating quite a splash across the ocean, and already making a name for itself here in the States, the Samsung Galaxy Note is finally available from AT&T.

With a 5.3-inch display and S Pen technology, the Galaxy Note is easily one of the most talked about Android devices in recent memory. After a commercial for the Note aired during the Super Bowl, everyone online was talking about Samsung’s latest “phablet,” and the stylus that comes with it. Whether you’re for or against the Note’s massive display and unconventional input options, it promises to deliver on all fronts (well, except for pocketability).

For $299 with a two-year contract, the Galaxy Note comes in either Ceramic White or Blue Carbon, and boasts a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM, Android 2.3.6 (with a promised update to Android 4.0) and access to AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

If you’re looking to score your own Galaxy Note on Ma Bells airwaves, visit AT&T or Amazon online now. Be on the lookout for an Android and Me Galaxy Note review coming soon.

    • Dan13

I just looked on Amazon, and it’s 250 bucks for new customers and individual account upgrades. I just love Amazon. Hopefully it’ll drop even more by March!

Hey Dell I hope your watching! This could have been you a couple of years ago if you guys knew what talk were doing! R.I.P. My first Dell streak, you were a trend maker with some Shorty parents.

This beast of a phone looks awesome. I can’t wait to read your review for it.

Hopefully there will be phone like this on other carrier sometime in the near future.

Honestly, I don’t see it being released for the other 3 major US carriers. Which is a shame because as great as my Galaxy S II is, if the Note had been released on T-Mobile, I think I would have traded it in already.

I’ve been hoping for it to go to Sprint. However, it seems that Spring has gone all in with iPhone. Like ATT did a couple of years ago. I hope I’m wrong on this one.

        • thel0nerang3r

argh… spelling!!!! I mean, “it seems that Sprint has gone all in with iPhone”.

  • Juan Almanzar

Played with it today and it is a big phone but not too big to be completely honest. Aside from the size, the s pen, and the software tweaks for the s pen, it is very much similar to what the skyrocket.

Hopefully I will officially get one in a few days so I can get true hands on with it.

checked it out… snappy performance. very smooth… stylus feels ok for the size. wouldve loved to see this with an exynos chip but either way, it’s a winner.

    Please come to Verizon!

  • BigCiX

If the Galaxy Nexus doesn’t come to att I’ll probably pick this up.

Question is ? .. What is the contract like for this price? is it a 2 or 3yr contract for this phone.
TELUS Canada, has that phone for $199 for 3yrs ..
Lucky me, I know someone who owns a 3rd party TELUS store and am getting $25 off the phone + free accessories .. Yee Ha !!
Getting this aahh-someness .. this week with ICS coming mid-March ..
I was at a TELUS corp store yesterday .. this phone is huge !! much larger than my HTC Desire HD ! but oh so kool .. played with it for 10mins .. the screen size really makes a difference when surfing and watching videos .. youtube .. etc, and having the ability to use the S-Pen to jot down notes during a meeting ..etc, is/will be super kool ..
This really is the evolution of the smartphone .. at least with the addition of the S-Pen that is ..
I hear that most of the other manufactures are going to be adding a similar device to their portfolios too in the coming months … It seems everybody wants a piece of the pie ..

AT&T has it for $300 with a two year contract. Expect to spend on accessories too! $45 for a protective case, $25 for a reusable screen cover and $30 for a car charger. All from AT&T and they all work well, especially the case

I must say those folks on at&t should flock to this device as soon as possible it’s without question the best device on at&t along with the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and Htc Vivid. I can’t wait till it arrives this summer on Verizon as the Samsung Galaxy Journal hopefully it will come to the nations largest carrier with ice cream sandwich which I have a funny feeling it will. On day one I will pick this up to go along with my already Galacy Nexus. That’s truly a beautiful world..

    • inviolable

Jesus Christ I thought we were finally done with this when you left Sprint

      • squiddy20

You would only hope… Instead all we get is the same idiotic and blind-fanboyism song, but to a different tune…

  • inviolable

So is 299 officially the new 199 now? I thought gas prices stealing my lunch money was enough.

    • Eh

AT&T is passing their $4 billion T-mobile bill off to their customers in raised fees, like the upgrade fee doubling recently. Think about how much more revenue they generate by doing that and increasing their premium devices by $100. They are essentially punishing their customers for their failed buyout. I don’t know how a company takes a $4 billion loss and doesn’t clean out its management with people more competent to do the job.

      • BigCiX

I rather build a phone out of aluminum cans before I pay $299 for a device that wont get updated to 4.0 in a timely manner!

      • Jorge Watson

Don’t blame AT&T, it’s the anti business, anti consumer, socialist government that killed the deal. By the way, you don’t even have a job, eh, so keep your business suggestions to yourself.

  • Jorge Watson

Horrible last gen processor. If this had the Exynos I’d buy it.

  • Voliam

ATT promising an ICS upgrade- uh huh! Now, about that beach front property in Oklahoma…

    • BigCiX

Every android update on att is usually 6-8 months after the phone is released. Way to long!

  • yankeesusa

The galaxy note looks like a great device, but I would never touch it on at&t.

    • Nic

I didn’t want 2 but i went T mobile 1st, wanted a S2, was sold out, Amaze sold out. Went to sprint, had them but i left my ID at T mobile! Lol then the Note came out and its the baddest phone out! Some people might hate on the size then squint at their lil iPhone lol. The only gripes i have is that screen block up for just a sec when u scroll a new page and no Ice Cream Sandwich. But it’s so called promised, so yay to that i guess unless something better come out and have it. Then I’ll be pissed!

  • Ben

Played with it for a few minutes yesterday in the store and i was impressed with it for the most part. The device is big but not overbearing. Just might not fit in you pockets real well; But the Super AMOLED display is a beaut and the thanks to the 1.5ghz dual core processor things ran quite smooth. What i was most impressed with was how thin and light weight it was for something that size

  • Alan

Nobody’s going to mention that it’s lacking an Exynos SoC and ARM Mali 400 GPU? Isn’t this one of the draws of the international-version of the device?

  • McLovin

I got the release email today and took a closer look.

    1. User replaceable battery +
    2. 32 MB external memory +
    3. Optional stylus +
    4. Ice Cream Sandwich update in March +
    5. Not on T-Mobile – :( Dang!

I personally like the idea of a bigger screen that can sub for a tablet. I don’t carry my tablet around with me all the time but I would carry this.

  • coelacanth

    The note is simply great.
