Mass Effect Infiltrator comes to Android via Google Play store

Looking for a new Android game to sink a ton of hours into? Electronic Arts just released Mass Effect Infiltrator for Android to the Google Play Store and you can buy it now for $6.99. This fast-paced, duck and cover shooter comes from the same team that ported Dead Space to mobile devices, so we expect it will live up to the hype. Most high end devices like the Galaxy Nexus, One X, Transformer Prime, and more are supported, so go grab it now.

This looks like a pretty sweet game! However, I’m not sure if the timing was right. You know, with Diablo 3 just being released… ;-)

  • Escobar

Not available for my P990. It says that it isn’t available in the country I live in (the Netherlands). Unfortunately because it looks really cool!

  • Noven

    Gameplay looks all right.

Anyone played this that would like to share their thoughts?

  • Ross

no galaxy S2 love. Thanks EA :(

    • kazahani

Really? I can hardly believe that. If your app doesn’t support the GSII series, well, it’s just not going to sell very well.

  • thaghost

So glad that most, if not all, popular games and apps are being brought to android in a rimely manner.

  • spazby

    looks great

  • uknowme

Hmm, might have to check this one out.

  • francis

No support for original tramsfomer or my SGS2 Skyrocket.

  • Lewis

No support for the Rezound, as is the case with most of their games. Seriously, what is EA’s problem?

    • Jake Gall

I have it on my rezound but had to google for a APK :-( I don’t like doing that but when you can’t get it officially because of lack of support what choice do we have?

  • johnnycsx

Looks to be supported on both my GSII (SGH-T989) and Transformer Prime. I’ll check it out

    • Sylverlynxx

Where? Play store says it is not compatible with my Prime

  • Alex Belko

Now that’s seems to be a serious game!

  • virexed

Very impressive. I’m surprised it’s running on my Sensation with AOKP ROM. Touch screen controls are top notch for a shooter like this and I usually hate touch screen controls. Might be too much for the non Mass Effect fans, it’s $7. I’ve only played through the tutorials because I’m at work but so far so good.

“This app is incompatible with your HTC One S.”

Should I just send it back? Why is T-Mobile’s flagship phone obsolete from day one?

    • kazahani

It’s EA. Their list of devices worth supporting is lackluster.

  • RedKos

Another EA game “not compatible” for either of my Android devices…

  • Andrei

Funny how this works on my Galaxy S Plus (not downloaded from the market).
    XD yes, piracy.

    • Abhijeet

      does it work smoothly????

  • Slith

Diablo at home, Mass Effect on the road!

  • carpediemsnuts

For SGS2 and other device users having compatibility issues make sure your phone is rooted and then depending on your Rom you can then install the Chainfire app from the market then get the plugins from Google (search chainfire plugin and you should find a zip file). Got it running perfectly aside from the odd crash on my SGS2 using CM9. Otherwise downloading the apk from the market could be achieved by changing your build.prop file if your rooted. Good luck guys! Hopefully EA will support the GS2 and other devices, they definitely did with Dead Space so I’m sure it won’t be long! Just looking forward to Nova 3 on a SGS3 soon!

  • kenny

Yeah, thanks EA and Google Play – HTC One X is not supported device for this game? WTF. It is the top range Android Phone with Tegra 3….

    • Willy Chong Zhi Wei

Strangely the game was compatible and in fact was on sale for HTC One X on its first day of launched on Android, but after a few weeks the game mysteriously disappeared on Google Play, when I browse on Google Play online, it showed me that is incompatible to my HTC One X, and now I was left with absolutely no backup on google play, I would be very much have to sue EA for providing inadequate service on Google Play for my device.

  • Wally

So, does this game also build you up for the entire experience of your decisions mattering in the grand scheme of the universe but then disappointing you with a 30 second ending cinematic for your efforts? I can’t give BioWare anymore money right now…I’m still seething at them :(

  • nick
