Day 3: The Google Play $0.25 apps sale continues

It’s day three of Google’s huge 25 billion downloads celebration and that means a fresh lineup of top Android apps is on sale for only $0.25. The apps from Day 1 and Day 2 are still on sale for $0.25, but Google has updated the official promotion page to only include apps from Day 3.  We are logging all of the sale apps after the break so you can come back and browse them tomorrow.

Our top picks for Day 3 include Mass Effect Infiltrator, Zombie Smash, Dragon, Fly!, and TuneIn Radio Pro. Let us know which apps you purchased in the comments below.

      I love Google.

I love Mass Effect Infiltrator! Go buy it if your device is supported. The controls take awhile to learn, but it’s one of my favorite shooters for Android.

i am getting it just because you told me to

  • spintrex

Worth it on an HTC One X… or is it better for a tablet?

I bought Tune in Radio pro. it mostly works. One annoyance I have is that some stations don’t allow streams to start from this application. Tune in will list the radio station, but when you start it, it will say “station doesn’t allow” and not work. I wish it would just show me the stations that work.. or have a marker that wold list which don’t work.. if there is one, I’ve totally missed it.

Wohoo, keep them coming Google :-)

I have two embarrassing questions. Especially embarrassing for some one who has been using Android since g1. I’ve never bought a paid app until this sale. I got the office suit pro. Now to the questions:

    1) Say I reset my phone or uninstalled a paid app. Does it stay in my library to install again without paying again?

    2) What happens if I switch to another phone? Can I install the app on my new phone without paying?

    Thanks a lot!

    • Taylor Wimberly

All paid apps are saved to your Google account. You can download them again on any device where you are logged into Google Play.

    • Homncruse

      1) Yes.
      2) Yes.

As Taylor said, the paid apps are tied to your Google account, so assuming you use the same account, you’ll be fine. The only catch is the loss of application *data* if you reset or change devices (without backup), but that’s true whether the app is paid or free.

      • aranea

Thank you very much to both of you. Now I can buy more apps :)

You can also keep hard copies of your apps also. I keep all my installed, purchased, uninstalled etc etc apps in my dropbox account.

If you install File Expert there is an add-on called Auto App Backuper which saves a copy of the .apk to your device.

Do you have to root to back up apps on apk?

  • Heetskore

Asphalt 7 was on the list for this wasn’t it? I was charged a buck instead of a quarter. must have done something wrong.

    • Dileepan Mohanachandran

Asphalt 7 was on sale on the first day. The offer lasts only one day. So, if you bought it on any other day, then you’ll be charged the actual fee.

I was checking the apps from Day 1 and they don’t appear to be on sale anymore. Just a quick heads up!

I just bought PicSay Pro a couple weeks ago. This is an awesome deal.

    • Zagrash

Anybody that doesn’t have PicSay should buy it immediately, that was the first app I ever bought, and it’s been worth every penny…fantastic app!

  • Cbowens

Same here. I picked up a copy for myself, but some of my family members missed it and can’t seem to get it for 0.25 now.

  • dimarvalc

I was testing out World of Goo to see how it worked on my new phone, and when I went to purchase it, it had changed back to the regular price. We have just one day to purchase these offers. Don’t lose time and check them out TODAY, while you still can get them for $0.25. I got to purchase ZombieSmash as I already got TuneIn Radio Pro for $0.10 a while ago. Damn it, none of my devices can run MASS EFFECTâ„¢ INFILTRATOR.

Day 1 and 2 apps have gone back up to full price
