Nexus 7 32GB and Samsung Nexus 2 appear in Carphone Warehouse database

Well, what have we here? With Google expected to announced at least one new Nexus device before October comes to a close, there’s a good chance leaks on whatever Google has up its sleeve are about to start flooding the web. A picture from the internal database for Carphone Warehouse in the UK showing both a Nexus 7 with 32GB of storage and a mysterious “Samsung Nexus 2″ make for a good start.

The Nexus 7 is available in both 8GB and 16GB storage configurations right now. Without expandable memory, power users, gamers and local storage nuts have been left scrambling for different ways to manage mass amounts of media. A 32GB Nexus 7 would make a lot of consumers very happy. Especially if Google was able to keep the price down. Now that the Nexus 7 has been out for awhile, it’s very possible that memory for the device has become cheaper to obtain, allowing Google to double the current storage without adding too much on to the total bill.

Some pricing changes may be in store for the Nexus 7, but I wouldn’t count on it going too low. The hit-or-miss Digitimes supposedly received confirmation that ASUS would not be lowering the price of the entry level Nexus 7 to $99, as was originally rumored.

The other listing found alongside the 32GB Nexus 7 is for a screen protector for the Samsung Nexus 2. While this is anything but solid evidence that a Galaxy Nexus II exists, it’s certainly starting to look more likely. We’ve had our fair share of speculation on whether the Samsung GT-i9260 is the Galaxy Nexus II or not, but there’s no denying how often rumors and small leaks on the Galaxy Nexus II have been popping up.

LG has been pegged by Android and Me as the manufacturer of the next Nexus device, but with so many rumors and leaks on the Galaxy Nexus II, it’s starting to look like the original rumor that multiple Nexus devices from different manufacturers will be released this fall may be spot on. Hang tight as we keep digging for more.

Could also mean Galaxy Nexus considering that is the second Nexus for Samsung.

I thought about this, but it’s highly unlikely.

    Sweet: Nexus 7 32GB
    Boooo: Samsung Nexus 2

The last thing I want is Samsung making another damn Nexus device. It’s time for another manufacturer to take the reins. Samsung has proven, time and time again, that they have no problem releasing a bastardized version of their flagship products (with bugs no less) and slapping the Nexus name on it. That’s not what a Nexus should be.

My vote: Sony, HTC, or LG deserve a shot. And if the Optimus G happens to land the Nexus moniker, I’m going to find myself short of $400-500 in a few months!

Hey guys. This is my screenshot that I sent originally to Droid-Life (and has since been posted everywhere else!!!!)

The “Nexus 2″ listing is simply a mislabeled Nexus S screen protector. I forgot to mention that when I sent the original tip. It’s nothing to get excited about, it has been in our system at Carphone for nearly 2 years now.

The screenshot was simply to illustrate to the 32GB Nexus 7.

If you could add this to the article, that’d be great! Stop any misinformation spreading any further than it has.
