9 mobile phone accessories we have on our wish list

Looking for the perfect companion for your shiny new Android phone? The eBay Electronics blog asked us to curate a wish list of mobile phone accessories and I picked out my most wanted. Take a look at these recommended accessories and let us know what you think. Be sure to add your own comments and suggestions as well. What mobile phone accessory do you want for Christmas?

1. Samsung Smart TV with Allshare Play

I have a Samsung TV and I love it, but it’s already a couple years old now. If you are ready to upgrade like me, then the Samsung Smart TV (UN55ES8000) would be at the top of my wishlist. The display on this thing is amazing and it’s so incredibly thin, but the most desired feature is Samsung’s Evolution Kit. This user-replaceable part allows you to upgrade the processor inside your TV set. Galaxy S III owners will also enjoy the AllShare feature, which allows you to wirelessly beam music, movies, and pictures to your big screen display.

2. Samsung Wireless Audio Dock

Cheap wireless speakers can be purchased for under $100, but if you want a high-end kit then check out the Samsung Wireless Audio Dock (DA-E750). It features a vacuum tube and digital sound, so you get the best of analog and digital technologies combined. This unit also supports Samsung’s AllPlay Share and Airplay, so you can easily share content between your phone, PC, laptop, or any compatible Bluetooth device.

3. SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64 GB

If your device supports expandable storage, you might as well max it out with the biggest microSD card it can handle. The SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64 GB is ideal for Android phones and tablets. This card is rated Class 10 with transfer speeds up to 30 MB/s, which is great for Full HD video recording and burst camera performance.

4. Beats Mixr

I’m not an audiophile, but I picked up a pair of Beats Mixr headphones and I loved the sound quality. They are comfortable, come in multiple colors, and they are the perfect accessory to any new HTC phone with Beats Audio.

5. Samsung TecTiles

Every new Android phone is now packing a near field communication (NFC) chip and we are finally seeing more apps and accessories taking advantage of it. I have tested a couple different solutions, and I have found that Samsung TecTiles perform the best across the most Android devices. Samsung provides a free Android app that allows you to erase, lock, and program the TecTiles with an endless number of commands. Grab a pack of five and see what chain of actions you can dream up.

6. Sony SmartWatch

Sony offers additional watchbands for $19.99.

There are a lot of smartwatches out there, but the Sony SmartWatch is my favorite because it has the most number of Android apps and widgets that it supports. I reviewed the device this summer, and the overall experience continues to get better. Sony just updated their Smart Connect app that controls the SmartWatch and they continue to support the device with improved performance and more features.

7. Skullcandy Chops Buds

As we head into the holiday season, be prepared for all that extra weight you are going to pack on. The weather is starting to cool down and it’s a great time to go outdoors and exercise with your phone. If you are going to be doing any jogging or running, you will want to grab a pair of over-the-ear-buds like the Skullcandy Chops. They are cheap, but they get the job done and they come in multiple colors. I have a pair and I always use them when I exercise.

8. Sanwa Supply Sport Case

Speaking of exercise and outdoors, you might want to grab an arm band like this Sanwa Supply Sport Case. It acts like a wallet around your bicep, so your phone doesn’t have to bounce around in your pocket. It has an extra zipper pouch, which is great for storing your keys and ID.

9. Samsung Flip Case

One of the great things about having the same style Galaxy S III on every carrier is the number of accessories that are available for it. My favorite case has been the Samsung Flip Cover, which comes in a half-dozen colors. The back replaces your regular battery cover and it helps keep the cover in place. This is a great way to customize the outside of your device and protect the screen.

    Pogo dock for all phones!

You don’t need pogo pins when all the new accessories are going wireless.

SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64 GB – Last Monday Amazon had this on sale for $43.49 so I snagged one. Keep watching it may go on sale again.

Samsung Flip Case — Wish they would make these for extended battery cases like Hyperion, Anker, QCell, Seidio, etc.  Since I’ve gone to the extended “fat” battery I’ve had to give up my flip case.

Are you talking about the flip cover actually being a super thin battery? That would be a pretty interesting idea.

that a sweet deal for 64gb…i haven’t seen any below $60

I would so like to get all those you just listed. But make different kinds so it fits most phones.

Haven’t even read the post yet but want to say THANK YOU! I was just thinking yesterday how much I wished you guys would do a focused and maybe recurring spot on accessories for Android. Cheers!

I’d like a tempered glass screen protector for the up coming LG Nexus 4 and a bumper style case so that the back can still be seen to show off the nice design.

I would go with Shure earbuds over Skull Candy, for exercising while maintaining superior sounds (more expensive, though). Would have liked to have seen some different external batteries/chargers on here and maybe some portable speakers.

thanks for the tip about the sport case. always hard to find one w/ a good review

Samsung Tectiles are overpriced and overrated. Check out AndyTags.com – same specs as tectiles, but way cooler Android look and better priced and work with Samsung Tectile app or any of the other nfc apps, many of which are better.

  • tkitty93

TeckTiles rocks. It`s nice for car… set alarm when you go to bed and so on.

  • melan26

You can never get enough storage space. I would love a big over the ears headphone, it’s been ages since I’ve used one.
