Top Android Cyber Monday deals from Amazon

Cyber Monday is here! If you’re in the market for a new Android phone, Amazon may be your new best friend. We’ve dug through all of Amazon’s Android smartphone offerings and have compiled a list of what we believe are the best deals. Some of the newest Android phones have not dropped in price yet, but we still feel they deserved a spot on the list. If you’re looking for something specific that’s not listed below, you can always browse through Amazon’s extensive list of mobile devices.

If you’re over the whole carrier subsidized pricing thing, we’ve also thrown in a few links to a few of the best unlocked (contract-free) phones listed on Amazon. Will you be treating yourself (or a family member) to a new Android powered smartphone today?

Note: The Kindle Fire is also on sale today for $129.99. We know, it’s not a real tablet, but Amazon has proven that it’s one of the contenders in the tablet space. Just enter promotional code FIREDEAL at checkout and you’ll get $30 off the   $159 list price.

Is the LG Optimus 3X HD the same as the Optimus G?

    • Nick Gray

The LG Optimus 4X is the same as the Optimus G without all the carrier bloatware. Here’s a side-by-side spec comparison which shows the subtle differences between the two devices.,LG-Optimus-4X-HD/phones/7458,6848

Yeah you forgot to mention that Sprint has the Optimus G at half price $99 (Reg $199)
        Not giving Bestbuy any love…?
Bestbuy has Amazon beat (by $30) with the HTC Evo 4g LTE for $49.99 (Sprint)

This is very very wrong. The only difference is the size. They have completely different hardware.

LG Optimus 4X is Quad core Tegra based.
Since it is using Tegra 3, it will not have LTE for ATT. Only HSPA+ ATT

LG Optimus G is Quad core Krait based. This is sibling of the Nexus 4 with LTE capability added over the latter. The ATT version has different dimensions compared to the International as well as Sprint LG Optimus G.

I love my LG 4x HD. Great phone. Love the looks of it.

Oh, and I hope everyone at Android and Me enjoyed the holiday!

    Have they abandoned T-Mobile?

    • Nick Gray

Amazon stopped offering discounts on T-Mobile phones a while back. It’s actually more expensive buying an on-contract T-Mobile phone from Amazon than it is to buy the same phone at full price from T-Mobile. Not sure why that is since WireFly still has some decent deals on T-Mobile phones.

Lots of agreements got messed up when AT&T was going to buy them out. Radio Shack also broke things off with T-Mobile around that time.

  • acey_zero

Walmart has $100 gift card with new/renewed contract and phone (for AT&T at least, not sure about others). Also they have the AT&T Note II for $250, so the effective price is $150 which is by far the best deal I have seen so far on it.

Also, DailySteals has an unlocked Note II for $585:

Wal Mart is terrible. They cost you more money in taxes because they make their employees get health insurance from the gov. Remember that next time you shop there.

      • Jobless Steve

Uhhh….the government doesn’t offer health insurance.

      • kazahani

No, Wal-Mart is terrible because their employees don’t know a damn thing about cell phones. You go there and get some stock boy trying to activate your wireless service, and half the time things get all screwed up.

Real NOOB here but quick question! If I just got a new phone recently along with a new contract are these prices still valid for me or are my prices different. Do I just transfer my SIM card once I buy the phone or take the purchased phone to my carrier (verizon) and they’ll set it up for me? Can someone explain the process of how this would work for me? thanks!

    • Nick Gray

The discounted prices would only apply is you are eligible for an upgrade through your service provider. If you just purchased a new phone through Verizon, you will most likely not be eligible for a full upgrade for another 18 months. If you do purchase a subsidized phone through Amazon, you’ll have to enter in your phone number into their system. They use this to check your eligibility, but you will still need to call Verizon to activate your phone once it arrives.

      • Adrian

So I would not be eligible for an upgrade if i purchase the phone then??

once amazon checks my phone number and sees that I’m not eligible, would they still discount the retail price of the phone?

        • Nick Gray

No, you would pay the “Replacement Phone” price from Amazon which is typically is bit more than what you’d pay at Verizon if you purchased the phone at full retail price.

          • Adrian

Thanks for all your help! I got stuck with a crappy phone because the Verizon Rep didn’t care to show me anything different or better and now that I see all these awesome phones that are out I want one now.. I don’t want to have to wait 18 months to get a phone… i mean she sold me a phone with gingerbread! that’s not upgradeable :(

  • Nathan D.

But my carrier never has discount so I’m always sad to see all these discount on the other carriers :-(

  • .Catherine.

Where can i find the new iPhone on Amazon? I want the iPhone- not these dull phones!
    Please tell me.

  • uknowme

Wait your telling me I can get a Galaxy Nexus for a penny on sprint as a existing customer? I have to check this out when I get home.

  • Nate B.

for some reason when it says it’ll take up to 45 secs to see if your eligibility, it’s been 5 minutes and it’s still checking. I’ve tried twice and it’ s in a loop. I’ve been through this before in the past and I know I don’t have anything wrong as far as information they need.

  • kookeetree

Guess I missed out on these deals. Then again I don’t need a new phone.

  • scubabum

Note that there is no discount/sale for any iStuffs. Now, that’s Apple power. Pay full price or go Android.
