[Update] Better hurry, Nexus 4 available from Best Buy online for $199

Still trying to get your hands on a Nexus 4? If you’re looking to do so with T-Mobile, you’re in luck. Right now, Best Buy has the Nexus 4 in stock online for $199 with a two-year contract through T-Mobile.

If you’re looking to skip the contract, and buy the device outright, you’re better off waiting for the Nexus 4 to come back to the Play Store. Without a contract, you’re looking at $599 through Best Buy. That’s a $250 premium you’d have to be crazy to pay. Still, this is a great chance for anyone looking to pick up a Nexus 4 on contract to do so.

Update: Best Buy isn’t the only one with the Nexus 4 available. Wirefly has Google’s flagship device available on contract with T-Mobile for $149, $50 cheaper than Best Buy.

It’s also worth mentioning that after weeks of being listed as “SOLD OUT,” availability for the Play Store Nexus 4 has changed to, “temporarily out of stock.” It may mean nothing, but it could mean the $300-$350 off-contract Nexus 4 is about to be made available once again. Stay tuned.

Word is T-Mobile.com has the Nexus 4 back in stock online as well for 149.99 on upgrade and new contract.

  • Thomas Biard

I hope no one buys it at $599 from Best Buy. That is ludicrous and highway robbery. Not worth it!

would you say that about any other high end phone? best buy is a pretty terrible place to buy smartphones contract-free, but still, the galaxy note 2 and gs3 international were selling like hotcakes on amazon last summer for over $600.

that said, considering it’s about half the price through google, you would have to be pretty impatient and/or rich to buy it at $600! I wonder when they’ll have it in stock somewhat reliably (not just another small order that sells out in ten minutes). let’s all guess! whoever is the closest, without going over…. I say March 8th. winner gets… I dunno, congrats through g+ and twitter

Yeah, because that is so much more expensive than buying it from T-Mobile off-contract? That’s its SRP and Best Buy needed to have the SRP set as something for when people purchase it for the upgrade price just like how T-Mobile does so why not set it the same, or close to, T-Mobile’s price?

    I’ll keep waiting.

Are you nuts? That’s why I bought mine from Google :) Fucking crooks!!

  • clocinnorcal

Just got mine in the mail the other day!! WOOOHOOO! It was a great day indeed.

  • asifriyaz

yeah right better hurry for dum deal

  • captainkirkw

I think Google is getting a new shipment of them soon since the product page now says “Temporarily Out of Stock” as of this afternoon.

  • clocinnorcal

Despite the Nexus 4′s shortcomings, they are completely overshadowed by the performance of this device. I have only had mine for about 4 days now, but DAMN it is smooth! The fact that it gets the newest OS upon release is something that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

I got mine from Google, but to anyone who is going to purchase this device from BestBuy, don’t feel bad about it. It truly is a premium device!

  • captainkirkw

I am waiting to get mine from Google but I checked it out on the Best Buy site and when I looked at the plans, there were only 4 and none had any data options. Maybe i missed something or it is better to go to the store to purchase it.

Waiting patiently at the keyboard. Come on Playstore, give us what we want. :)

Finally something but not what most people want. Hopefully Google will get a new shipment soon

    • donger

      They better.

  • Ardrid

$600? Wow, what a bunch of assholes. Even eBay isn’t that sleazy.

    • Hom0ncruse

final nail in the coffin for nexus 4

      • Ardrid

I’m not going that far. That said, I do wish that Google would clamp down on price gouging. There should be a requirement that, if you want to stock the Nexus 4, you can’t sell it for more than MSRP.

  • Wayne Howard

Hey guys, through a partnership my business has, we are offering the Nexus 4 for $149 with a T-Mobile Contract and $565 unlocked. You can send me a message on Facebook or email me for the details. I don’t want the link being blasted everywhere. [email protected]

Why would one buy a phone from some guy out of the back of his white paneled van (you) when they can buy it for the same price from a legitimate business (Wirefly)?

  • mike

yea 199 contract and end up paying the rest in monthly fees not a good deal

    • mario_1603

I was happy about the new, I have to still waiting

  • snowbdr89

I signed up with tmo to get the n4 so my plan is I paid the 199 with a 50$ rebate so when I get my rebate I’ll pay the etf of 200 an move to att so I’m thinking if it works out I’ll only be paying 350!! In the mean time I’ll give tmo a try so far no complaints an most important 0 dropped calls.

    • Max.Steel

Why would you buy on T-Mobile, pay etf and switch to ATT????

      • snowbdr89

Because I can!! Plus I’d be paying the same price through google

    • Raptor

Are you sure that $600+etf will not be sent to collecting agency?

      • snowbdr89

        How would it be 600?

        • Raptor

easy. $600 is what tmo asks for the phone and 200etf for lost potential profit, all the hassles and processing

          • snowbdr89

Hmm done it before an never paid more then the etf

  • captainkirkw

They are now available in the U.S. Playstore. Just ordered my 16GB Nexus 4. YAY!!!

  • rasta

I’m all set I’ll just wait for next nexus Thank you but no thanks :)
