HTC One coming to AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile on March 22nd for $199?

HTC Source reports that the upcoming “HTC One” (aka HTC M7) will ship on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile on March 22nd. According to a “trusted source” the device will be available with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, and retail for $199-299 on contract. Verizon was mysteriously absent from the rumored US launch.

We already know that HTC has scheduled a press event scheduled for February 19th, so it’s definitely possible that whatever they announce could hit stores the following month. Last year the HTC One X launched on AT&T in May, so it would be a slight surprise to see HTC move up their US schedule this year.

Rumors suggest the device will launch as the “HTC One” on all carriers, which could play a role in the absence of Verizon joining the party. HTC and Verizon just launched the Droid DNA, which shares many of the specs that are rumored to appear in the new HTC One.

I absolutely loved the HTC One X, so I’m really looking forward to whatever HTC announces next week. The M7 has been the focus of numerous leaks over the last couple of months, but I’m hoping that HTC has some surprises in store for us.

Most of us upgrade our phones in Q4, so I’m interested to know who’s in the market for a brand new phone in March. What would HTC need to offer for you to give up your current Android phone?

HTC really needed Verizon in there. These days, brand recognition is everything…

    • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Rumor is VZW is pushing their launch back. If you really think about the the DNA has the exact specs minus storage… VZW will have 2 of the same phones on shelves within months. I don’t think they want that.

      • Nate B.

Make sense but that’s Verizon’s fault for always trying to have an exclusive and make it seem like their phone that may also be on other carriers are better. It’s the same phone. Verizon has some very greedy ways.

      • Hom0ncruse

final nail in the coffin for HTC

        • bigrob029

its not looking so hot for them, but i dont think this is the final nail…. maybe the next to last nail. If they release 5 different versions of this phone like they did with the last one then we can start digging that grave.

    • Joel

nah, they dont need Verizon as much as they need everyone else. Prepaid carriers, unlocked phones, etc. I think HTC has to spend more time away from Verizon exclusivity. Worked with the one x, itll work again with the One.

I like HTC, and im tired of seeing articles about how much money theyre losing because of bad decisions/timing.

  • MrMrMan

Sounds like Verizon is probably messing things up behind the scene as they usually do.

    • yankeesusa

As always. First company i would try if I leave sprint will be tmo. I think Id rather go to att first over verizon with the way their handling things. Hopefully sprint keeps their upgrades coming.

      • wyatt

sprint needs to get the LTE to NYC. i’m another rough day out of the office from dropping them.

        • malc_milli

Ha! NYC here too. i just dropped Sprint for Tmobile last week, i was too fed up with the waiting game. Nexus 4 with Tmobile’s prepaid 5gb of 4g, unlimited 3g plan for $32.66/mo after taxes. Best decision of my life lol. I’ve pulled down as high as 18 mbps and 19mbps and as low as 5 mbps but i tend to hover around 10-12 mbps majority of places i go. My friends verizon LTE hovers around 4-7 mbps whenever he ran a speed test and i was around. I recommend you just consider that route.

  • yankeesusa

this phone does look nice but until it has come out and people have reviewed it I will not touch htc. So far my next phone will be note 3 if they don’t make it any bigger or another galaxy phone.

    • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Oh Trust me… It will be bigger. If it’s one thing I’ve relaized about Sammy is that they don’t know when to stop.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Woo!!!!! I can’t WAIT for this device. Haven’t been this excited in a while for a new phone. And to your point about HTC usually Launching in May, they are trying to avoid the S4 and iphone5 lauches as long as they can. So a March Release makes sense. The new 64GB update to the rumors are even more exciting, wasn’t expecting that.

  • shadhussain

    sub-$350 and pentaband

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

“Most of us upgrade our phones in Q4, so I’m interested to know who’s in the market for a brand new phone in March”

I’d say Late Q3…. Sammy and Apple launch during that time frame… Nothing big phone wise gets launched in Q4 really.

Another reason why at&t won’t release 4.1 for the Original One X.

    • http://androidandme.com Taylor Wimberly

Another reason to buy unlocked phones…

        What he said!!

    • Kaote

Or T-Mobile releasing 4.1 for the HTC Ones S, honestly I’ve have given up on both companies.

  • lawrenceh

HTC needs to buy back my ONE S and ill get this phone. Why not?

  • Thomas Biard

Do we have an off contract price yet? Unfortunately as cool as this phone looks, it will probably be at least $599

    • http://androidandme.com Taylor Wimberly

I don’t know if HTC would sell an unlocked version in the US, but my guess is the phone would be priced around $549-649 off contract.

  • nandy

if off contract price for 16 gb model is 450$ like nokia lumia, i will consider buying one

My upgrade will be here in 2 weeks. I am no longer sold on HTC like I used to be. This phone and the Nexus 4 are my 2 options. The good part about Android phones is the less expensive unlocked phones that Google sells in the play store. I can upgrade to this phone. If it sucks, I can sell it and buy the nexus 4. I can hold that until the Moto X phone comes out and buy that. I think, i’ll just keep doing that forever. No need to wait for two years to upgrade.

Anyway, HTC needs come with some compelling features. Samsung already have millions of people sucked into their “Galaxy” world and experience. They need to react immediately. Putting out solid phones will not help, they need to put out great phones with a great ecosystem and experience.

  • M.B

The prices of smart devices need to come down to around $50 during launch.
The prices are not dropping the way it used to during the early days of P.C. boom!

  • joe

I just don’t buy that picture, it’s obviously a fake. that alumunim bezel is lifted straight from an iPhone 5 shot

  • jamal adam

Verizon is always causing all sorts of problems. Always trying to be selfish trying to have exclusive phones. For me, I am just happy that T-Mobile is finally getting an HTC flagship.

  • VS

Good for HTC. THe market needs as much competition as possible (cant be Sammy only for Android). I just hope they stick to their One phone platform for the year and not release constant variations (unless it’s on regional carriers).

Brand recognition and customer loyalty has to be their major focus in 2013. Ensure you support your phones longer than other OEMs and customers will give you repeat business!

…I’ll still wait for the “X” Phone details before making a decision (hopefully N4 will have 32GB option if One, S4 or X cant offer me all the features I want).

  • kenny washington

Not me… I am waiting for the LG Optimus G Pro… beast of a phone. HTC got me with the EVO…great phone ahead of the curve at the time but I think I am going to let HTC rest. Sammy…too much plastic wrap….. I have the Optimus G so I am interested to see what the Optimus G Pro has to offer.

  • thel0nerang3r

Finally, phones with 64GB of internal storage are coming out.

  • Nathan D.

Well i still haven’t upgraded yet, but see why I should. I mean my phone still works fine and runs smooth most of the time. But I would like to have an updated device though.

  • donger

Looks promising, might jump carriers again.

  • Roland

HTC will have to buy or give me something for my HTC One X+ or I will look for the next Nexus in Nov.:-)

  • Paul Atreides

It might be the step in the right direction HTC really needs. They must balance pretty nice hardware with some good software and excellent battery life. Also, don’t keep it a secret from the public and put some real marketing behind it. Their shortcomings have really been in those areas. Slide-out kickstand and multiple colors on release would be the icing on the cake.

  • poop mcguinness

    Must.. see camera and speakers..

  • Richard Yarrell

I am happy for Tmobile they need this device more than [email protected], Verizon, or Sprint.

    • squiddy20

Damn right they do. Something’s gotta attract those customers, and it’s not T-Mobile’s “pimp slapping” network.

      • Richard Yarrell

Don’t make us laugh with your 3g Galaxy Nexus on Sprint the former wimax network. Lte isn’t getting anywhere anytime soon and your useless Galaxy Nexus is rendered even more useless. Time for a real change on your end Mr. Squiddy20 your only fooling yourself with that crappy Galaxy Nexus it’s so terrible.

        • squiddy20

“Lte isn’t getting anywhere anytime soon” I think the results of this site beg to differ: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/
          Wanna try that again?
Besides, I don’t care if LTE comes to my area or not. I’m not the kind of person that has to have “the latest and greatest” all the time. Just don’t care that much. It’s idiots like you who think they need “HSPA+ 156 MBPS ULTRA BLAZING FAST 6G” that ruin the world. Most people’s hardwired Internet connections don’t even exceed 20 Mbps on a good day, and’t that’s plenty fast to download full sized computer games (in excess of 3 GB), and stream movies/TV shows.

        • Scott Bailey

That’s incredibly stupid, even for an uneducated, functionally retarded porch monkey like you. Did your dad have you in the basement again, ramming you up the ass while shoving your face in the pile of shit he just dumped on the floor, punching you in the kidneys while telling you you’re a useless piece of completely worthless shit?
“Oh, lawdy, lawdy! I is jussa po’ uneducated, hood niqqa, poppa! I gots mines! I gots mines! Oh lawdy, no suh, I couldn’ts affords no Verizon, so now I’m gonna run to a message board onna intanets and beg fo da attention I’s so desperately need by pretending that t-mobile is da best carrier inna ho woild and tell the peoples onna innanet that mines has better building pennatrashun because it runs at a higher freekwency. I cants affords no things like cars, a house,a television from this century or clothes that I dint find inna same dumpster I found my pimp slapping tv from 1975, so I talk all kinds of retarded shit about smartphones being status symbols poppa! I gots mines poppa, I gots mines! It’s imaginary and isn’t fooling anyone because all of these peoples actually own smartphones and dey know damn well dat dey has auto correct, but I’s showly can pretend I gots mines! Oh lawdy, poppa! Don’t make me suck on momma’s bloody tampon again while you piss in my face! I’s gots a nasty taste in my po’ mouth from sucking the shit off yo dick. Please poppa, let me go to the shelter do I’s can gets onna computer and try to make mah self feel like I’m somebody by bragging about things that only cost a few hundred dollars. That’s like being a billionaire in our hood!”

          • Dawan Wilson

I am a black man and I approve this post. This Richard guy has been spamming the boards since the Evo came out. That wasn’t racist in my mind, or is how he writes, and I imagine, talks. Mines? -smh- Thanks for perpetuating stereotypes.

        • snowbdr89

The dummy dick is back, I’d take a galaxy nexus rommed out over your bloated up note any day!! Anything up to 10 Mbps is plenty after that’s its as useless as you are dick

  • TruFactz

HTC has had some pretty nice devices since the “one” line has started. I think that they do need to come with some more robust features, one of the reasons samsung leads the way, but they are improving though, the true HD screen is a start.

  • Janine

Any idea how to get the HTC One without a contract (unlocked) ?

    • Kevin

      Buy one in Europe ???

    • Bobby

Two months after the release but will only benefit fit you if TMobile or ATT customer. Sprints 4g service will not work due to the Wimax data services they use. Wimax has become absolute.. No carry use this anymore.

    • roland

eBay or HTC website or Google Play Store

  • Bobby

areI’m ready these post and I agree Verizon maybe hurting them selfs by not carrying the HTC one but they do have a phone almost the same coming out. As for Sprint getting the HTC one… Bad idea. Why.? Worst 4glte and 3g.They might have great phones but bad bad service. There excuse and answer… We are sorry we do see 4glte service BUTT! I see we are working on some down towers. SAME EXCUSE ALL THE TIME.. change the record already.

  • roland

interested to see how this phone is going to be without dr. Dre’s beats
