Chinese blog posts first review of the Samsung Galaxy S IV

We are still five hours away from Samsung’s big launch event for the Galaxy S IV, but you can break out Google Translate and head over to Chinese blog mobile.it168 if you would like an in-depth preview of what’s coming later tonight. This site has been leaking out pictures and videos of a supposed Galaxy S IV over the last couple weeks, and now they have posted a full review.

Notable details found in the review include Samsung’s use of metal around the sides of the device, the return of the physical menu button (that just won’t die), camera controls borrowed from the Galaxy Camera, a smart remote app (IR blaster?), and a prediction the device will launch in Q2.

Keep in mind we have no way of knowing if this is the final hardware, but it’s still a pretty interesting preview to scan while we wait for the real thing. Head over to the source link and let us know what other goodies you can spy in this review.

Could Samsung have gone this far to create a fake phone, fake site, and fake review just to keep their phone under wraps? Imagine they came out with a completely different phone, that would be hilarious.

No, they (Samsung) wouldn’t create a fake phone, but others would. If anything it’s a prototype because it has features that the S4 will have. What we see tonight will look different. And all that we “know” has not even been shared.

Didn’t they create Prototype/fake phone (whatever you choose to call it) last year and accessories just to throw everyone off? I hope what we see tonight will be difference b/c otherwise there’s not much excitement.

Wow, if this is the real deal the S4 grew quite a bit. It’s much larger than the S3. Boo!!!!!!

I’m really interested if its gonna be a lcd screen or an amoled because of the rumoured massproduction problems of the full HD amoled screens

Wow, I’m not going to read it until after the unveiling.

Samsung has also assigned other phone and camera operations to the zoom ring for ease of use and speed of access such as photo sharing and filter selection.
