Hurry up and start the show Samsung!

No kidding… enough intro music already!

  • halo0

That delay was not the right way to start off. Crowd seems annoyed!

The presentation is around 95% gimmicks, 5% specs

And that’s why it will be a success. Just compare their presentation and how HTC unveil the One — the ordinary folks will understand the S4′s presentation more easily.

Ohh, just saw the spec — it will be running 4.2.2, not 4.2.1 as reported in the rumors.

      no kidding! wtf

I thought the broadway play theme came out kind of cheesy and unnecessary but damn if there aren’t some impressive features I didn’t see coming. The S4 will definitely (once again) cause problems for HTC, but for me, I’m still leaning toward the One.

Love all the new feathers, but the phone is Massive, (this is what the Note is for)

No wireless charging is very disappointed.

    • Prince77

I don’t think wireless charging is all that important right now. Whatewver you are going to use to charge your phone, you still would have to plug in

      • Prince77

Now that I think about it, if there is a public place that has the wireless charging stations, that would be a good thing

    • jamal adam

Actually, it does have wireless charging.

      • Taylor Wimberly

Yep, but Samsung said the feature would vary by region.

  • jamal adam

I was underwhelmed by the event. The specs are great as usual but design is becoming stale, it’s as if they are playing it safe.

    • Prince77

I think they are. I read an article where it says this will be the last time Apple “mooches” off of Samsung. They won’t have to “copy” anything no more after this device.

    • poosh2010

they are playing it apple lol

Actually, I love the look of the phone. Yes, it has not really changed since the S3, but 1 of the
reasons people bought the phone was because it looks great, and you know what they say!
‘Don’t change it if it ain’t broke’.
They also stated that they have made the phone more solid, with better materials. I would hope that if they were to keep the design (like they have) that they would at least do a better job at fit and finish. Well here to hoping …
Features .. Holly Crap! this phone did not really leave anything out did it??
Not sure what they are going to do for an encore next year, but HTC/LG/Sony ..APPLE ..etc you have just been schooled on how much crap you can squeeze into a phone! I’m just surprised it does not come with an app that can wipe my A$$ too !! LOL
Let’s just hope that all of these features work as stated, as I know some of the features on the S3, are super gimmicky (and or) do not work reliably at all.
Now it is off to the Google I/O conference to see what Android 5 (Key Lime Pie) has in store for us! Lets hope that Google woos us with some crazy kool new toys that actually make it to market .. and are more useful than the Q!
I’m also excited about the upcoming Google X announcement. Not sure why they just don’t add it into Google I/O and save their $$.
I’m a little pissed that the Motorola X will not be making the journey to Google I/O this year (so they say ..). I was on the fence for my next phone (either Nexus4 or the Motorola X), I guess I might be waiting to see what Android 5 shows us before I make my decision if the Samsung S4 is added to that list.

I like how they made the screen larger but kept it the same size as the s3.

    Yes yes yes.
