New apps need lovin’ too, right? Every day there are thousands of new entries on the Google Play store, but many go unnoticed and never receive the attention they deserve. We have shown in the past that this community can discover great apps and launch them to new heights. So, we’re bringing back our weekly column Fresh Meat that highlights new apps with less than 100k installs. Browse our new Android app picks below and let us know which ones you enjoy.

A lot of these look really interesting – especially Creatoverse and Circle Synth (I’ll personally need a tablet for these…)

  • jacobsloan

Some great apps for the creative types today.

  • R.S

So does the “New” Swype app offer anything different than the version pre-installed on phones or the beta?

    • Animate

Updates. Anything pre-installed doesn’t get updates.

  • mrjayviper

bought swype last night. moving away from perpetual beta! :D

  • HeadDoc

I am checking out all of these NOW (except GoComics, which I already had). Thanks guys!

  • donger

Gonna try one or two of these.

  • da9el

i’m going to try indigo and sherpa to see how clever they are.

    • ivnmetal

They’re both pretty clever. I like Sherpa just for the fact it has a widget and it just feels smoother. And it gives you a longer time when using speech

  • mat

I found the swipe in Swype worse than the native JellyBean gesture typing. The keys in the keyboard are also narrower so lead to more errors. The predictive feature is also much worse than SwiftKey…much….Wish SK would match the. 99 price for a week
