HTC announces the HTC One Live Experience Tour is coming to 11 major US markets

The HTC One offers several unique features that don’t translate very well through pictures or text, so HTC is going to put their new phone in consumers hands with the newly announced HTC One Live Experience Tour. The roadshow will offer three distinct experiences including the HTC BoomSound Lounge, HTC One Showrooms and HTC One Cinema Experiences.

“We’re establishing the U.S. brand identity for the new HTC One as an innovative, stunning product with a full-metal design and a clear difference in experiences from any previous, or recently announced smartphone,” said Erin McGee, vice president, marketing, North America, HTC Corporation. “The new HTC One has already won numerous prestigious awards and accolades, but consumers have yet to see it for themselves. We are changing that, starting today, by delivering unique and highly relevant experiences on city streets, in suburban malls, and at hundreds of movie theaters that brings the product to life through an authentic connection with the consumer.”

Starting today, the HTC BoomSound Lounges will be across six major cities in the US. Locations include Columbus Circle in New York, Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco, Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles, Wrigleyville in Chicago, Franklin Square in Philadelphia, and Perimeter Mall in Atlanta.

Beginning April 11th, the HTC One Showrooms will start appearing in high-traffic malls. Locations include Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C..

Finally, the HTC Live Cinema Experience will be available in the lobbies of select movie theaters across the US. A list of cities for the theaters is not currently available, so be on the lookout when you head to the movies this weekend.

In addition, HTC announced a series of exclusive concerts for their fans. Performances include Pharrell in New York, Grouplove in Chicago, and Manchester Orchestra in Los Angeles. Each performance will be limited to an audience of 1,000 fans, in hopes of creating an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime experience for attendees.

I’m lucky enough to live in Dallas, so I’ll be headed to check out the One Showroom next week and report back on my findings. Hit me up if you live in the DFW area and we can schedule a meetup when I figure out which mall it is. And if you live in Chicago, I would highly recommend checking out the Grouplove performance.

Its awesome to see htc finally making some really Strong and bold marketing moves. Lets just hope ws the same for Tv and advertisements in general

I think HTC must announce first that it will change its dead battery for free when it will stop keep the charge.
Otherwise this nice phone is the best candidate for the landfill in 2 years from now

i’m in the UK When this phone was announced I was excited for it. Now I finally have it the phone is amazing! The feel of the cold aluminium is amazing. Im picking the phone up for no reason because it looks & feels so good.
The speakers are loud and sound great. Even at full volume there is no distortion.
The camera overall is good. It takes nice daylight photos but the low light photos are amazing. Even the nokia lumia 920 doesn’t hold a candle to the HTC One.
The 1080p screen has amazing colour accuracy and amazing viewing angles. The pictures look painted on the screen.
I also am very surprised about the battery. I thought it would last all of 5 seconds but I can easily get through a day.
The phone is connected, with LTE, bluetooth, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac. The first phone to have WiFi ac.
Finally one of the best things about this phone is performance. The phone has never lagged for me even with power saving mode on. The UI is fluid and I have never lagged in any game I have used on the phone.
    Would definitely recommend this phone.

    thank you HTC

This is a good move by HTC and hopefully there will more places in the future because I think that interacting with customers and showing them what the One can do for them will go a long ways to promote brand recognition and customer satisfaction. Telling customers is one thing but showing them is a whole other level that makes the experience more worthwhile and enjoyable.

None are even close to where I live, the nearest one is two hours away. But I already know everything about the phone so I don’t mind. I just want to hold a demo unit in my hands.

Good move, but Samsung is doing the same thing across hundreds of Best Buy stores.

I definitely want you to let me know when you figure out where this phone is being demoed in Dallas. Please do, I will be there. (:

Seems like HTC is going to seriously try and compete with Samsung on the marketing front. I haven’t owned an HTC device in a while but I’ll consider the ONE for my next purchase.

Thanks for posting this. I stopped by the one in San Francisco and I was pleased that the One met my expectations. I do like the screen and the build quality better than my Galaxy Nexus. It was a little bit heavier but that’s what I’d expect with the metal case and the larger screen.

The only major issue I saw was the 2 hardware buttons in place of the 3 virtual buttons on my Galaxy Nexus. I kept mashing the HTC logo to bring up the home screen out of habit. Does anyone have experience with loading a vanilla ROM on the HTC Device? I’m curious if the navigation changes are part of HTC Sense or everything would be kosher with a stock ROM.
