I was first introduced to Android with the Samsung Fascinate and I've been hooked ever since. I love the customization that Android offers the user to personalize their phone. I enjoy writing and have been blessed with the opportunity to share this passion for Android with others.

Do you own some of these apps? You keep posting them over and over and over and over again. Apps like Twilight, Krome, Floating Touch etc are being featured 4-5x. This blog used to provide useful information and different apps – you keep writing about the same ones . No reason to check this blog – this app feature was one of the ones that made this blog unique. All the other Android news can be gotten from more than a dozen sites

Well, this article is titled “10 Most Popular Apps from Last Week”, so this seems to be a quantitative award based on number of downloads. If an app stays up for multiple weeks, it means lots of people keep downloading it and will stay at the top of the chart…kinda like iTunes or a Billboard track list.

It seems like what you’re looking for are the “Fresh Meat” app lists where they post the newest apps to come out this week.

MS Office 365 was the app that I was looking forward too.. but like the Moto X, it cost too
much for what it offers the user (‘Starting’ at $10/Month).
(Oh and it will not be coming to the Tablet !!)
Epic Fail, comparied to what it’s competition offers …

“Chromecast is the hottest way to stream media from your device to any HDTV.”

support streaming of local content from my android device? o.O

  • mrjayviper

I did but twilight last week after searching for a similar app I used on iOS

And in the #2 spot? A very obvious scam app that is smoke and mirrors (and pops up ads when you aren’t even using the app). Read the comments.

Don’t blame A&M because the people using the play store are heavily downloading a scam app with pop ups. This is the top 10 most popular apps, not the most recommended. If an app’s a piece of shit report it to Google.

    • alexanderharri3

Although it may be new and “popular”, A&M should be able to do rudimentary filtering to keep such clear “apps” out of a featured list. Signal booster with an app non-root, really? Who would download such an app with such a claim?

Plus, the only screen caps of the app are a button (just like in the iOS i am rich app), and two screen grabs of the Android apps page in the emulator that shows…indeed…it is an app.

Button to “tether” to a better network based on your carrier….maayyyybe this app actually does something and switches to 3G mode if 4G isn’t working….but I was very surprised to see such an app featured here…

  • clocinnorcal

Suggestion. How about an article that shows the newest upcoming popular apps or the top ten highest rated, lowest downloaded apps?

Twilight app is getting really old.

Booster Pro is trying to “upgrade” after the installation. Virus or spyware

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This list is based on the number of clicks to the Play Store for each app. I agree with you that we don’t need Twilight on the list every week.

We’ve been toying with the idea of a “Legendary” app status for apps that stay on the Top 10 list for an extended period of time. How many weeks would you like to see an app stay on the list before it gets receives “Legendary” status and is removed from the list?

We value our readers and want to make sure we provide you the stuff you want to see when you visit us.

I’ll repeat the suggestion I wrote last week, finding this column repetitive after only a few weeks reading this site: the weekly snapshot is just too often. Break “most popular” down into a few sub-categories of apps, and rotate those weekly, so the survey period is longer and there is more time for interesting arrivals and departures.

  • apolodor

This article should be called: “Top 9 most popular android apps from last week”. I am totally bored to see again and again the same Twilight app. OK, we understand it is a very nice app, but… again Twilight?? :(

I got my desired information from here and the Office Mobile for Office 365 is really very helpful for me and I am looking for it for long times. Thanks for shearing the information and I hope to gate more great post like that when I visit this site later.Best Softwere Market

Got a friend who works at YourELink and is working on Bills Reminder apps and was recently released at Android market. I know there a thousands of apps out there that works a Bill Reminder however I find this new app super friendly and the recurrence reminder is far detailed compared with other reminder apps. I have included the link below in case you want to try.

Somehow I couldn’t find another interesting app that I came across very recently by the name Photo4tune. It is best in terms of privacy in terms of sharing pics or even messages for that matter because of its inherent features like fire messaging and self destruct pics. You can also get it on Google Playstore!
