Golden HTC One casing leaks, the bling factor is intense

HTC One Gold leak

I’ve always been fascinated by phones like the Vertu devices. They were so high end, with gold plating and diamonds and leather, yet they were essentially dumb phones up until recently. And even now, the specs would make any techie chuckle to themselves and offer to melt it down to sell for scrap. We’ve also seen companies trick out normal phones, like the iPhone or HTC One, with real gold and diamonds.

But a new trend is arising, and that’s to offer devices in a gold hue. No real gold, no astronomical pricing, just a nice champagne gold shade. Recently, Apple announced their champagne gold iPhone 5S, much to the delight of many. While I wouldn’t personally rock something so flashy, a lot of people want to. But what if you want to stick to Android, yet still own a golden phone?

If these leaks prove real, HTC might be releasing a golden version of their HTC One. The One started as a very plain device only available in silver and black (still my two favorite colors). A while later, it was released in red for Sprint, and just recently, a blue version was released for Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. With four colors under its belt, HTC is doing quite well. However, gold would be a wonderful edition to its lineup.

Obviously, this color isn’t for everyone, but it will reach success. A lot of people seem to like it, and despite me calling it flashy, it’s almost classy in how dim it is. Would you use a champagne gold smartphone, or do you prefer real gold? Leave a comment!

I would have bought this instead of silver. I really didn’t want to get the same exact silver phone as my older brother, but I didn’t like it in black, which was the only other option at the time. And I kind of like the real gold one, but I think this light gold looks nice and subtle, too.

The pictures look like it is either a silver one that is a little dirty or where the flash gave a yellow hue. I don’t think it is gold colored.

Doesn’t htc learn no matter how many color they come out with the one its still a htc one without any improvement. I like the htc one with their boom speaker where it face front not in the back for better audio but at the end of the day its still a htc one.
