Rumor: Moto Maker access for Verizon Moto X coming November 11

If you’ve been holding of on purchasing the Motorola Moto X because the standard white and black options currently available from Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon simply don’t get you excited, we may have some good news for you. According to @evleaks, AT&T’s stranglehold on Moto Maker will expire next month, with Verizon jumping in on the Motorola Moto X customization game on November 11. We still don’t know when Sprint and T-Mobile devices will be able to be customized through Moto Maker or when those stunning wood back panel options will be made available.

The software experience on the Motorola Moto X is incredible, but without the external hardware customization option available, we find it hard to justify paying the $200 on-contract price for the handset. Are you still waiting for Moto Maker to open its doors to Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile before purchasing your Moto X?

MotoMaker allows you to choose between 16/32GB

As late as this past Monday you could not buy the Moto X direct from T-Mobile. You could only buy it direct from Motorola at the full price.

This is good news, I’ve been holding off, waiting for Moto Maker mainly for the 32GB option. Now I just need the rumored $100 price drop and I’ll be ready to order.

Problem with this is the camera. Until they update like every other carrier people are going to continue to stay away…Not a word from Verizon about the update either….A nice looking shell on a phone looks great and unique but if the camera can’t even capture the colors in pix or only takes them washed out, then how good is it? I know plenty who are staying away fro this reason alone…No one expects a perfect camera but for a flagship phone they should be decent. This is not the case on the Verizon model, at least for now until they update the camera software..

They already patched an update for the camera.

This is news. How did they patch it? 4.3? New build on 4.2? New phones have fixed software? How to update existing phones? ??? Seems that there was more than just the phone that needed fixing. GoogleNow training software? I would like to buy this phone, but not without “fixed” software.

what they should do is allow those of us who purchased the phone through verizon on upon release date swap their white or black for a customized one through moto maker.. even if there is a small fee, I would still pay it.
