Motorola takes to social networks to tease wooden Moto X

Are you one of the patient souls still waiting for Motorola to begin offering wooden back panels for the Moto X? If so, your wait may be nearly over. Motorola tonight took to its official Google+ page to post the teaser image that you see above, complete with the tagline “Put this DIY project on hold. Trust us.” No other details regarding the wooden Moto X back panels are included.

Motorola first revealed that wooden back panels would be available for the Moto X as part of the Moto Maker customization tool when it first announced its new flagship smartphone in August. However, the company has been fairly silent on the topic of wooden Moto X backs since then. That’s likely a bit frustrating to those consumers that’ve held off on buying a Moto X until the wooden option becomes available, especially since it means that they missed out on Motorola’s recent $150 Moto Maker discount, but the good news is that the appearance of this teaser image suggests that the wait for wood may be nearing an end.

Are any of you planning on ordering a wooden Moto X once they option finally arrives in Moto Maker?
