No-contract Moto X to receive $100 discount for 1 hour on Jan. 27

Motorola Moto X

Motorola has offered several discounts on the Moto X to date, but maybe you’ve skipped out on them because of the timing or the fact that you just weren’t feeling the device at the time. That’s fine, but that doesn’t mean that Motorola will stop tempting you. The company today announced that it’s got another Moto X promotion starting next week that’ll see the phone reduced to its lowest price yet.

On Jan. 27 at 3:00 p.m. EST, Motorola will offer a discount of $100 off any no-contract Moto X. The deal is only good until 4:00 p.m. on that day, though, and will only be available while supplies last. The good news is that folks that miss out on that sale can still snag a reduced-cost Moto X, because Motorola will also be cutting the price of no-contract Moto X hardware by $70 through Valentine’s Day.

The Moto X may not be the freshest Android phone on the block, but it’s still a great little device that earned the Android and Me Editors’ Choice Award for best smartphone of 2013. Add in the facts that these discounted Moto X units are customizable, come without a contract and will start as low as $299 for a 16GB model and, well, you’ve got a deal that’s pretty tough to turn down.

Are any of you planning on picking up a discounted Moto X next week?

Is this through the Play Store or Motorola. If Motorola would you supply a link?

Does this apply to the DE X’s as well? Would love to get a 32GB DE GSM Moto X for the price of a 16GB Nexus 5.

Wonder if this is going to end up being permanent in a month like the last deal?

What’s the bottom line then w/ the $100 discount. Is it $299 – $100 = $199 w/o a contract? Which GSM/LTE bands do they support, AT&T only or will they work with AT&T?
