A Sony phone has finally come to the United States at a decent time! No longer are Sony phones coming to the US months late. It looks like Sony is making a new push in the US, and it’s starting with the Sony Xperia Z1s. The device was shown off at CES 2014, and we got a good hands on with the device, and it has come to T-Mobile today.

The Xperia Z1s features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 3,000 mAh battery, a 20.7MP camera, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Like many Sony phones, it’s also waterproof. The Xperia Z1s is quite an impressive device, and at an impressive price too. It can be yours for $0 down and $22 a month for 24 months, or $528.

If you’re yearning for one of these devices, you can get one by hitting the source link and ordering online. If you want to purchase one in stores, you’ll have to wait until January 21st, when you’ll be able to pick one up at select retail stores. Will you be getting this device? Tell us in the comments!

This is a great move, and in line with the historic UK model of zero down. Sadly we seem to be moving closer and closer to the US model of £50 to £100 upfront fro new users.

Man I’d consider it. But I already have a Galaxy Note 3 and iPhone 5S as my 2 phones. Maybe I can get the wife this, she has an older Sony phone and ‘generally’ likes it. I was going to get her a Nexus 5. So… Nexus 5 or Sony Xperia Z1… thoughts?

Hmmm I guess it would depend what your wife prefers: speedy updates with the nexus or a Sony. Or third option, the xperia Google play edition, its the best of both worlds if you’re going to at least drop $500 on a Sony.

Are you sure this device is from Sony? Let me get the checklist:

    [X] Not sold in America.
    [X] Outdated Specs
    [X] Horribly over priced

Thus, I can conclude this is not a S… what, this really is a Sony device? Way to go Sony!

You can bet the farm that I’ll be getting the Z as soon as possible maybe even sooner. I just got the Z from T-mobile last year so I’ve got to wait another 3 1/2 months on thee “Jump” plan or see if my 2 nd phone is upgradeable which I know it is. The Z is a damm good phone &I’m very happy with it so can you imagine how much happier I’ll be with that new bad boy Z1
