Huawei TalkBand B1

Wearable technology is all the rage at the moment and Huawei is getting a piece of the action with its latest, the TalkBand B1. The TalkBand B1 is actually one of the more intriguing wearables that we’ve encountered. It’s a wristband that features 1.4-inch flexible OLED display and numerous interesting features, one of the most interesting being the fact that the display can actually be removed to become a Bluetooth earpiece.

That removable earpiece isn’t the only feature though. The TalkBand B1 also includes plenty of fitness tracking features such as a pedometer, a record of how many calories you’ve burned and a track of how many miles you’ve gone. The TalkBand B1 is also meant to stay with you when you sleep as it includes sleep tracking technology to determine the quality and duration of your sleep let you know when you need a nap and also to figure out the optimal time for the smart alarm to go off.

The band pairs with phones through Bluetooth 4.1 as well as NFC and vibrates if taken farther from the phone than ten meters. A 90mAh battery is concealed within the band and should last for six days without recharging. Unfortunately, the TalkBand B1 will only be sold within China, Japan, the Middle East, Western Europe and Russia. That means that we US and UK folks who are interested in it will either have to go without or else import from another country.
