T-Mobile HTC One KitKat update coming this week, AT&T by end of February

The long-awaited Android 4.4.2 update for the HTC One on T-Mobile and AT&T is nearly here. In a Twitter conversation with a few followers, HTC’s Jason Mackenzie revealed that the AT&T HTC One update is set for release during the last week of February, but the T-Mobile HTC One will be receiving its KitKat update this week. Mackenzie was not able to give the exact day that T-Mobile will start pushing out its update, so we suggest you keep a close eye on your notification bar.

So far, HTC has been leading the Android 4.4.2 update charge, but the company did disappoint us when it revealed that it would not meet its self-imposed 90-day turnaround time. Samsung recently shared a list of all the devices that will be updated to KitKat, but it did not say when customers should expect those updates to arrive.

How did you update the T-Mobile HTC One? I don’t see any update and it still says certification on the HTC updates site

You’re so full of it. I have the T-Mobile htc One, there’s no way you got it last week.

Hooray for HTC for being on point with updates and T-Mobile for stepping up

FUCK you ATT, you suck ass… and I’ll cry about it all I want…

Called HTC Tuesday, they said”looks like it hasn’t been released” and told me to set my date ahead by 4 days because it may push the update ….didn’t work.

    Finally Kitkat.

Seriously??? I’m tired of hearing that AT&T is, yet again, postponing the date of its kitkat release. Enough already! I’ve waiting for this update in hopes it will fix the battery problem caused the forced JellyBean update. If not, I’ll need a different model phone… therefore, if Kitkat doesn’t come before a designated time, I’m stuck with an awesome HTC One with the world’s worst battery in history! Then I will let HTC replace my phone instead of AT&T!

I’m not a genius. I just did the OTA update successfully. It was seamless.

My T-Mobile HTC One still says “no updates available” as of 7 am CST this morning. I’m calling BS on the guy who claims an update two days ago.
