Google Search app can now ‘Play some music’

Apparently Google is all about the voice commands now. The company recently added support for “Take a photo” and “Take a video” commands to the Google Search app for Android, and now there’s a command for music fans as well.

After tapping the microphone on your Google Search widget or saying “Ok Google,” you can now tell the Google Search app to “Play some music” and it’ll do just that. Specifically, the app will launch an “I’m feeling lucky” radio station based on the music that you’ve been listening to recently. In order to take advantage of this new feature, you’ll need the Google Play Music app installed on your device.

This new “Play some music” voice command looks like a nice way to just get some music going, especially when you’re not sure exactly what you want to listen to. If you’re rocking a device with both Google Search and Google Play Music installed, grab that sucker, tell it to “Play some music” and see what you get! Just be sure to hit up the comments section below and tell us how the feature works for you when you’re done!

The “Listen to” command should also work fine as well, Google now has always played music on the Nexus 5 though.

It works but its not playing the music that I’ve listen to in the past. Maybe if I keep listening it will play some of my favorites. Maybe I’ll have some new favorites.
