LG G3 appears set for May 27 debut

Just a day after LG teased that it would launch its new flagship G3 smartphone sometime in the second quarter, it appears that we’ve now got a more precise date on which the LG G3 will make its official debut.

LG today sent out invitations to an event on May 27. As you can see above, the invitation reads “To be simple is to be Great,” with the “G” stylized to look like it was pulled from the G2’s logo. It’s also worth noting that LG is actually holding events in 6 cities around the globe for this shindig, with gatherings planned in New York, San Francisco, London, Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul.

While the Life’s Good crew doesn’t come out and say exactly what it’s got planned for this May 27 event, it seems likely that the LG G3 will be the star of the show. Not only does the invitation include the stylized “G” from the G2 logo, but the fact that LG is holding events in 6 different cities suggests that the company’s got something big up its sleeve.

Previous leaks have suggested that the LG G3 will sport a 2560×1440 display, gold color, flattened user interface and a refreshed set of rear-mounted volume and power buttons. What other features would LG need to include with the G3 to make it a “must buy” for you?

I’d love to see snapdragon 805! Notably improved camera performance and a 3000+ battery because I’m worried abput how it all will work out between the battery and the screen resolution. I’d also like to see the circle where you tap to open all apps look like the latest one on the nexus devices! I mean like transaprent.

I think SnapDragon 801 (at this time of the year). Possibly increase the size of the screen up to 5.5 inches and if so then I too agree possible increase in pixels, if however the same screen size still 1080p.
If LG decide to go for a slimmer phone the battery will either stay at 3200mAh or drop to 3000mAh with increased battery management.
      But these are just guesses

Actually qualcomm leaks indicate that the first device sporting their 805 processor will be released/unveiled in may; the only device I am aware that is launching in may would be the G3. There have also been 3 prototype LG G3′s floating around. We have yet to see what is under the hood of the 3rd one.
