Samsung Galaxy Ace Style to launch this month with Android 4.4 in tow

Samsung’s Galaxy is growing again.

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Ace Style, its newest Galaxy-branded Android smartphone. Described as a “fun, expressive and easy-to-use smartphone designed for the social user,” the Galaxy Ace Style is a low to mid-range handset that includes the following features:

  • 4-inch WVGA TFT display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 5-megapixel rear, VGA front camera
  • 4GB storage
  • microSD card slot
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 1500mAh battery
  • Android 4.4 KitKat running beneath Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence UI

The Galaxy Ace Style will begin rolling out this month in both Cream White and Dark Gray color options, but Samsung hasn’t said exactly where the device will launch or how much it’ll cost when it does. Considering both its specs and the fact that Samsung describes it as being “streamlined, easy-to-use” smartphone that’s targeted at “young social consumers,” I can’t imagine that the Galaxy Ace Style’s price tag will be too hefty.

Until we hear more about the Galaxy Ace Style and its availability, you can check out more shots of it in the gallery below.

The combination of 512MB of RAM and TouchWiz cannot be good even with KitKat.

This is not just a Samsung issue, but one that pee’s me off non the less.

Top tier oems sell crap branded with there higher end models. Granny walks into a shop, sees a galaxy for $200 out right and think she has bedded a bargain. Then uses it and wonders what all the fuss was about.

For years, if you can only get a budget devise, drop a tier down, (zte) and you get twice the phone for less cash.

Only moto, with the g, has bucked this trend. HOWEVER, 1.MOTO isn’t a top end brand outside of us, it actually fell off the map in the UK altogether, and 2.its unlikely to carry one with super cheap(over spec) devise under lenovo.

But lenovo are very much like moto, in the way they are huge in the phone market at home, but almost unknown outside it, so we may get high quality low priced devices at cost, as it is almost free marketing and growth. Then bring the higher margin devices in 12 months, and sell on the good will and rep of the predisessor.
