Verizon releases Galaxy S5 pricing, availability details

Verizon Galaxy S5

The last of the major carriers to do so, Verizon today announced pricing and availability details for the Samsung Galaxy S5. If you’re looking to sign into a two-year contract, the S5 will run you $249, but that price can be knocked down to $199 with a mail-in rebate card. If you want to avoid getting locked into a contract, be prepared to pony up $599 for the device. Pre-orders are now open, and Verizon will ship devices in time for the global launch date of April 11.

If you’re interested in scoring a deal and aren’t afraid of contracts, Verizon is offering a BOGO deal on the Galaxy S5. Buy any one Galaxy S5 on a two-year contract, and get either a Galaxy S5, ATIV SE or HTC One (M8) free on a two-year contract. If you’re looking to purchase a Galaxy S5, you’re limited to the two color options of Charcoal Black and Shimmery White. Hit up the source link below to head directly to the pre-order page.

I love most things about my note 3,but I think I’ve finally reached the tipping point where I’m just so sick of coping my hand around the back of my phone to hear and not being able to use my speakerphone easily driving on the highway that I’m going to have to leave Samsung. I had a glimmer of hope when they moved my phones speaker from the back to the bottom, but now Samsung is not only NOT. Moving forward, they’re moving backwards by putting the speaker on the back. What’s next, decreasing productivity with onscreen buttons?

Anyone know why Verizon is only offering 2 of the 4 colors? I really wanted to get the teal/blue color, but so far only white and black are being offered.

It seems all the carriers are doing that at first. Maybe best buy will have other colors available

I was able to talk to a salesperson at Big Red today, and they said they only have information on pre-order colors, but they did say I could buy a teal Otterbox armor from them.

Typical Verizon crap…Yes, the great new Galaxy S5 can be yours now for the low, low price of……199.99 with the inclusion of an interest-free $50.00 loan to Verizon for an undetermined length of time. Step right up, get em while they’re hot…
Wait a month or two then go by it from Target or some other third party like Amazon or Wirefly.
Their price will likely be 199.99 or less without the stupid rebate. In other words if you want to pay the highest price anywhere, buy it from a Verizon store.

Who is is afraid of a contract you fucking idiot. Some of us have the unlimited data plan and if we get a contract we lose that plan. No one gives a shit about quote on quote ponying ups $599 I’ll throw that out the window of my Mercedes going down the highway and fucking laugh about it. So thanks for the info on the s5 when I’m ready to get 1 I’ll just go get it
