Mailbox for Android updated, now features notification actions

Mailbox has been available on Android for less than a month at this point, but the Dropbox-owned app is already gaining major new features.

Mailbox recently released an update to the Android flavor of the app that bumps it up to version 1.0.1. The Play Store changelog for the update is small, but the tweaks that it includes are biggies:

  • Added notification actions
  • Bug fixes and UI improvements

As you can see in the screenshot above, the new notification actions allow the user to Archive, Snooze or Reply to an email once the notification has been expanded. This is a welcome addition to Mailbox for Android that I’m sure will be greatly appreciated by those that’ve already adopted the app and could also get new users to check it out.

Have you tried Mailbox yet? If so, what do you think of it? If you haven’t yet used Mailbox on Android, you can grab it from Google Play using the widget below.

Tried it. I had to log in to my gmail separately in the app, rather than using the account I already set up. What a waste. Uninstalled as soon as I saw that.

Too bad it’s owned by Dropbox. Pass.

One of the best use of Mailbox app is the ability of scheduling a single feature with various options to organize messages. You can easily sort each message as you receive it in the Inbox.
