Three Grand Theft Auto titles come to Amazon Appstore, bolster Fire TV gaming lineup

The Amazon Appstore has no shortage of games, and Fire TV owners who plan to use the box for gaming shouldn’t be disappointed. Full-fledged games on mobile devices are still a bit lacking, but today three amazing titles have finally migrated from the Play Store to the Amazon Appstore.

Amazon Appstore users, whether they have a Fire TV, a Kindle tablet or any Android device and just prefer the Appstore to the Play Store, can now purchase Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. These old-school games are optimized for the mobile platform and feature updated graphics. They also include controller support, something you’ll likely want to take advantage of.

These Grand Theft Auto are perfectly suited for the Fire TV, because playing them on a big TV with a controller is the way they’re meant to be played. Plus, if you buy any of these titles, Amazon will give you 2,000 gold coins (a custom Amazon currency for use on the Appstore) worth $20 for use on other apps. Will you be buying them? Leave a comment!

Yeah this is great Amazon. Release more large games that need a big amount of space on my Amazon Fire TV that gives you barely any space for apps. Smart move Amazon.

OPEN THE USB POST ALREADY! So we can add external devices for more storage! Who locks their USB port like that? Even OUYA opened up their USB port? What were you thinking Amazon? This could end up killing the device.
