LG G3 leaks continue with full spec list, more dummy unit photos

Despite the fact that the LG G3 has leaked more times than I can count by now, none of those reports have included a complete spec list for the upcoming flagship. That’s finally changing today, as a image has surfaced that may contain all of the G3’s features.

According to a post on Korean forum, LG recently revealed the full list of G3 specs at an South Korean retailer event. The feature set named in the leak includes:

  • 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560×1440) IPS display
  • Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor
  • 13-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization+
  • 2.1-megapixel front camera
  • 32GB storage
  • 3GB RAM
  • 4G LTE, LTE-Advanced connectivity
  • 3000mAh battery
  • NFC
  • 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm dimensions
  • Android 4.4 KitKat

The image also includes the model number “LG-F400S/K/L.” The three letters in that identifier are likely references to the three major South Korean carriers, SKTelecom, Korea Telecom Freetel and LG U+.

While still unconfirmed at this point, most of the specs named in today’s leak line up with what we’ve heard about the LG G3 in the past. Should this leaked feature set hold true, the G3 ought to be an impressive flagship handset that could give the Galaxy S5 and One (M8) a run for their money. Perhaps best of all, though, is that considering LG’s multi-city May 27 event and the widespread availability of the G2, I wouldn’t be surprised if LG brings the G3 on most major carriers.

I would be disappointed if this device were announced next week but doesn’t go on sale until the fall. However, if it’s announced next week and available shortly after (within a month) then I can’t really complain about the use of the 801.

My main question – have we verified what the body will be made out of? Various blogs are thinking it could be metal due to the brushed metallic look. I’m hoping it is some kind of metal but I’m guessing it might be similar to the brushed look on the back of the S3 blue pebble phone.
