The HTC A3QHD#CL may be the HTC 610 for Verizon

HTC’s budget-friendly HTC Desire 610 may soon join the HTC One (M8) on Verizon. The latest rumor regarding the HTC Desire 610 doesn’t give us a price or an expected release date, but we are treated to Verizon’s internal product name – the HTC A3QHD#CL.

Since the HTC Desire 610 is also expected to show up at AT&T, don’t be surprised if Sprint and T-Mobile decide to pick it up as well. The Desire 610 was announced at Mobile World Congress at the end of February, featuring a 4.7-inch 960 x 540 display, Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 2,040mAh battery, 8 megapixel main camera, front-facing 1.3-megapixel shooter, 8GB of internal storage, microSD expansion (up to 64GB), BoomSound speakers, nano-SIM support and LTE.

The HTC desire 610′s specs aren’t that impressive, but HTC is hoping it’ll still be quite popular since it’ll probably be free for those who choose to sign up for a new two-year contract.

That’s so close to a great cheap phone with style. The screen res just isn’t good enough tho.

No matter how good you make it look, if the screen looks crap the device looks cheap.

The Moto G done it the right way, semi decent plastics, and a great screen makes it look far better than its price.

I wouldn’t go as far to say that it will look like crap, but it’ll definitely leave much to be… desired. ;)

Damn, and the A3QHD#CL was such a catchy name.
