Moto X+1 shown in leaked photo of case

Motorola Moto X+1 Leak

The successor to the Moto X, the Moto X+1, is one of the most anticipated devices of the summer. Per usual, the hypebeast is working to build up rumors regarding it. The latest leak comes courtesy of @evleaks, and it shows an alleged picture of the Moto X+1 with a case on it. The device looks pretty plain and simple, but a few things about it have us wondering if it’s the real deal.

For starters, it seems exceptionally odd that the notification bar and home screen buttons wouldn’t be using the new translucent background that came with Android 4.4 KitKat. Perhaps it’s an old screenshot, but it doesn’t add up. The camera is also lacking a flash, unless that ring around it is somehow a flash, which we don’t think is right. It’s also missing a front-facing camera. From what we’re seeing, this looks closer to a Moto E in a case than it does to a Moto X+1. There’s a very good chance that this could simply be a fake that someone threw together, so take the picture with a grain or two of salt.

Do you think the picture is real?

And here’s where we feel the need to point out that this is definitely not the Moto E. There are similarities, yes, but the camera is pointedly different as well as the second speaker on the bottom doesn’t exist on the Moto E, rather, the Moto E has a longer notification LED. And just as a side note, the software also doesn’t line up with the Moto E, which has the translucent status bar and home buttons.

Do a little comparison and see for yourself.

Where is the camera flash LED if it is an X series?
