When Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, we were a bit disappointed. The device was better than the original Galaxy S5 in every way, including a 5.1-inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 805 processor, but it won’t be available in the US. This device is exclusive to South Korea, just like the Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4 LTE-A was.
Now those people on Korean carrier KT are getting a special edition of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A under the Olleh branding. While this version is identical to the standard LTE-A device spec-wise, it does come with a redesigned back. Instead of the dimpled texture, there is now a diamond pattern that looks quite fancy.
While this doesn’t affect us here in the US, it’s still pretty cool to see different designs Samsung comes up with. Hopefully, this will stop a certain unfunny crowd from spewing Band-Aid jokes like they’re still amusing (hint: they’re not). At least HTC managed to do it decently.
