Here at Android and Me, we are huge fans of (at least I am). Recently in the limelight for being swooped up by Amazon, is a live game streaming service that lets gamers of all kinds share their adventures and connect with anyone around the world. Announced via blog post on the official Twitch blog, the Android app has been updated with a new way to watch your favorite streamer: Chromecast.

Once you’ve updated, or downloaded, the app from Google Play, using Twitch with Chromecast is easy. First things first, make sure you have the Chromecast app downloaded on your device or Chromecast won’t be enabled in the Twitch app. After you’ve done that, a cast icon will appear in the top right corner of the broadcast window in the Twitch app. Pressing the cast icon will allow you to choose your Chromecast and you’re good to go. That’s all there is to it.

As a fairly revolutionary form of entertainment, it’s nice to see Twitch support a fairly revolutionary device like Chromecast. Personally, I use Twitch on my Nexus 7 every single day. So I’m incredibly excited to see Twitch continue to treat Android like a first-class citizen. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to watch Diabetech speedrun the Binding of Isaac. On my living room TV.
